Job Description
Work manufacturing stations to build product using shop packets, drawings and standard or verbal instructions. Work alongside other assemblers to train and assist.
Review work orders for special instructions, quantities & part numbers. Review parts provided to ensure that they conform to the job requirements.
Assembly experience in "made to order" products (not in an Assembly Line environment).
Assemble, test and visually inspect products or sub-assemblies including those of Assembler II and Nitrogen Booster Systems, Plan 53B's, standard lubrication systems as well as more complex standard Gas Control Panels.
Ensure assembled parts meet the drawing specifications for dimensions and level tolerances.
Perform assembly support functions - Sandblast, Strip, Dye Penetrant test, Hydrotest and PMI.
Strongly prefers previous experience with multi-plane tube bending and installation.
Adhere to Material Traceability requirements.
Paint systems as business requires.
Label parts and install nameplates.
Conduct peer reviews of completed assemblies.
Make proper labor and time reports.
Work in a clean and orderly fashion to maintain area standards of 5S.
Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and interpret average assembly drawings, make calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
3 year of related experience required.
Stainless steel manual tube bending experience required.
Must be able to learn to operate overhead cranes.
Must be able to stand for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, or warehouse.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds or utilize team-lift or lifting assistance for items over 35 pounds.

Job Description
Read prints, set up and operate coil machine(s) and have the ability to set up and operate conventional, special purpose and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines.
COIL OPERATOR:
Interpret drawings and material selections
Setup the coil machine per the drawing
Pull material and issue to work order in the ERP System
Measure, mark, scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guide for subsequent machining. Understand the use of calipers, micrometers and dimension on a tape measure.
Roll coil per print and determine if adjustment needs to be made in order to meet inspection criteria.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to drawing and all specifications. Transfer heat number to machined part.
Print labels that include part number, job number and heat number of material and affix to parts.
Sign work order and move LeanKit card to inspection.
Make proper labor and time reports.
Work in a clean and orderly fashion to maintain area standards of 5S.
Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
MACHINIST:
Interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
Select and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Check and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Work in a manufacturing environment for 2 years.
Be able to perform basic mechanical functions and understanding of how equipment operates.
Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

* Identification, justification, and implementation of capital improvement requests for maintenance projects (AFE's)
* Management of Maintenance budget including spares, services, and large facilities projects
* Assess/audit manufacturing equipment to identify improvements and failure modes
* Develop action plans and communicate improvements we can make to manufacturing equipment
* Assist, coach and train maintenance team in trouble shooting techniques and best practices
* Manage equipment projects through the full equipment lifecycle
* Write machine specific preventative maintenance plans, setup instructions and operator PM's

A Brief Summary of This Position
This is a SECOND SHIFT POSITION 3:30pm to 12:00am Monday - Friday.
This is an individual contributor position responsible for receiving, unloading, and storing incoming product loads and inspecting finished products for damage and defects. The incumbent will operate forklift equipment to move material. They will be responsible for identifying material and product being loaded and unloaded. The incumbent will create tags for products being unloaded, which may involve taking notes and pictures and entering that information into the computer. Incumbent will be responsible for inspecting galvanized product to ensure a high-quality finished product and making recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products. Interact with customers and truck drivers, coordinating special handling as a result of an inspection, work safely with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Essential Functions:
Operate forklifts with the capacity to move up to 22,000 lbs. of material on and off of flatbed trailers
Communicating potential problems or needs with material to the Lead or Supervisor
Inspect incoming material for proper venting and hanging. Must be able to identify coated material.
Inspect galvanized material to ensure it meets the quality standards, reject material that does not meet quality standards, and coordinate special handling for this material
Read tags, bills of lading, and shipping and receiving papers
Verify tags on incoming product with details including piece count and finished product packaging
Move pieces of steel and other material up to 50 pounds by hand from different locations in the plant and yard
Operate small hand tools including tape measures, micrometers, saws, drills, riveters, and nail guns

**Essential Functions:**
+ Based on the location of the position this position could require up to 50% travel
+ Identifies and eliminates and/or mitigates risks as they pertain to achieving codes, engineering specifications, and customer specifications. This includes ensuring proper processes and procedures are documented, implemented, and executed.

Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities. This individual is expected to place an emphasis on providing a committed and high level of technical service in a safe manner, while partnering with other leaders to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
The Maintenance Supervisor will:
Assist in directing preventive maintenance programs
Coordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractors
Conduct periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds. Oversees all changes or upgrades

A Brief Summary of This Position:
This position reports to the Quality Supervisor. The NDT Inspector - Associate will evaluate the assembly of fabricated materials by dimensional checks, visual inspection of welds and conduct nondestructive testing by ultrasonic, mag particle, and liquid penetrant processes, with knowledge working under a fully certified Level II Inspector. Working with the production supervisor to maintain workflow of the area and report issues to the supervisor. Evaluate examination results and determine if material meets contract specifications. Responsible for generating and maintaining NDT reports and records for company and contractors.

Responsible for testing and evaluation, with absolute integrity, of products to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications
Makes decision in the area of codes (includes AWS D1.1) and specifications under the guidance of a NDT Inspector - Intermediate.
Interprets reports for NDT and evaluates quality acceptance under the guidance of a fully certified NDT Inspector - Intermediate.
Has the authority to reject material, stop work in process etc. to minimize financial loss and risk of customer dissatisfaction.
Works under production conditions with accurate performance and completion of work within set time limits
Accountable and responsible for essential tools and equipment provided along with the maintenance of these tools and equipment

The Maintenance Mechanic 11 position is a highly driven individual that will be responsible for performing installation, preventative maintenance & repairs on all plant equipment and facilities including hydraulic machines, presses, shears, cranes, welders, mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
Essential Functions
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance & repairs on all plant equipment and facilities including hydraulic machines, presses, shears, cranes, welders, mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
Responsible for the repair of worn parts, straightens and fabricates fixtures. Makes new installation of equipment and performs major repairs/replacements.
Seek opportunities for efficiencies and improvements within the maintenance department.
Proper installation of equipment ensuring that necessary safety standards are adhered to.
Performs maintenance tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime.
Support manufacturing demands including working during non-peak hours (e.g., off-shifts, holidays, weekends, etc.) as required/assigned).
Respond to on-duty emergency requests and after-hours call-ins.
Performs strategic preventative maintenance; continuous improvement of maintenance systems and practices.
Performs general maintenance tasks including buildings, grounds, (snow removal), etc.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work both in a non-temperature controlled environment and outdoors.
Ability to coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.

Working knowledge of single and three phase electrical circuitry with an ability to read electrical schematics.
Ability to read and understand blue prints.

The Operations Manager is a manager level role within Valmont's Coatings Division. Mold Maker Journeyman
will be responsible for performing new mold work, work on rough or semi-finished castings which are made into completed parts and make corrections or changes on unused mold equipment.
The Mold Maker Journeyman will:
Perform lathe work and makes, without use of profile, the following equipment from semi-finished castings: molds (excluding cavity), mold holders, mold bushings (outside diameter), round bottom plates, blanks (excluding cavity), baffle holders, baffle inserts, guide rings, guide ring inserts, blow head inserts, blow head holders, guide ring holders. The operator is also responsible for grinding own tools.
Perform bench work operations including blending, shaping, and matching cavities, making capacity corrections, necessary cavity relief and pantograph work where standard numerals and monograms are used.
Perform mill work consisting of making molds, blanks, baffles, bottoms, funnels and odd-shaped cavities - or cavities involving flutes, rib decorations, or matches where cavity cast rack displacement must be held to close tolerances. Responsible for grinding tapered, fly cutter arch, and other cutting tools, installing them, and making necessary mill adjustments.
The Mold Maker Journeyman should have:
Machine lathe and mill experience, automatic CNC mill and lathe knowledge is desirable
Experience reading blueprints and drawings
Experience with bench repair and welding
Ability to use all precision measuring device
Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

Job Description
The
Glass Manufacturing Batch & Furnace Manager
is responsible for furnace and batch house operations, including environmental controls and maintenance. Ensuring effective management of the departments labor, equipment, maintenance, and expense budgets.
The Glass Manufacturing Batch & Furnace Manager will:
Work in partnership with the Production and Quality Managers to produce glass containers while continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
Be accountable for supervising salary and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of plant's batch and furnace operation.
Manage incoming raw materials and glass formulas.
The Glass Manufacturing Batch & Furnace Manager should have:
Glass furnace operation and large scale glass melting operations experience
Experience supervising employees, planning work schedules and directing assignments.
The ability to plan and coordinate all preventive maintenance activities.
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED is required
Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic, Chemical, Materials Science or related Engineering field preferred
Glass Furnace Operations and large-scale glass melting operations experience is required

We are looking for a highly driven individual that will weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment. Additionally, you will...
* Fuse (weld) metal structural components together by means of arc welding using one process in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
* Perform welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning and lying out of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence.
* Perform some welding on objects involving moderate safety and load requirements working in one position.
* Movement of pole shafts using an overhead crane and the gathering of parts and materials to complete the project.
* Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management.
* Participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures.
What it takes
Required Qualifications
* One month of previous hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or professional environment
* Successful completion of an internal welding test
* The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
* Must have working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

Job Description
The
Combustion Engineer
works in partnership with the Batch and Furnace Manager, and the Production and Quality Managers, to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
The Combustion Engineer will:
Ensure safe and efficient operating conditions of glass melting furnaces
Ensure optimal energy consumption and proper burner set-up (flame geometry, length, overall profile)
Ensure furnace conditions are within prescribed parameters through daily inspections
Review furnace data on a daily basis and make adjustments as needed
Assist in managing production targets
Support continuous improvement and elimination of waste through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficiencies
Assist with troubleshooting problems within the manufacturing process
The Combustion Engineer should have:
Strong analytical skills and data analysis
Experience scheduling preventative maintenance
Experience with environmental regulations is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
Technical degree preferred (chemical, mechanical, ceramic, or manufacturing)
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing
Previous furnace operations experience is preferred
Previous experience with SAP is preferred
Able to perform a physical, hands-on job, on the plant floor
Able to lead and work independently in relief of the Batch and Furnace Manager
Able to travel for training, plant visits and networking
