Mr. van Greuning holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Pretoria.

Martin Sheerin

Martin Sheerin is Chief Financial Officer for John Hancock, the U.S. division of Toronto-based Manulife.



Before taking on his current position in 2016, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for John Hancock Annuities. Since joining John Hancock in 2007, Mr. Sheerin held several roles including Chief Financial Officer, Long-Term Care and Product Risk Management.

Andy is responsible for retail, retirement, and institutional asset management across all businesses and channels. He is head of Wealth and Asset Management in the United States and Europe, and president and CEO of John Hancock Investment Management. He brings a wealth of organizational and industry expertise to this role, including more than 25 years of experience in the asset management industry. Since 2012, Andy has led all aspects of John Hancock Investment Management’s business, from investments, sales, marketing, finance, and product development to operations and technology. In 2014, he was appointed president of the John Hancock funds, with general responsibility for overseeing day-to-day management of fund business and operations, serving as CEO of all funds, acting as liaison between management and the funds’ Board of Trustees, and presiding over trustee and shareholder meetings.

In addition, Andy’s a member of the Board of Directors of John Hancock Worldwide Investors, through which John Hancock offers UCITS funds to non-U.S. investors. In his prior position as executive vice president and COO of Investment Management Services, he was responsible for developing and managing the network of subadvisor asset management relationships across the John Hancock and Manulife platforms in the United States and Asia.

Andy began his John Hancock career in 1993 after earning a B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University; he also earned an M.S. in Finance from Northeastern University.

Anne Hammer

Anne Hammer is the Chief Communications Officer at John Hancock. In this role she protects and promotes John Hancock's 160-year reputation as a leading provider of financial services for nearly ten million customers in the U.S. She is responsible for reputation management, messaging, media relations, employee engagement, executive communications, thought leadership and events.
