John Knox Village, conveniently located in Pompano Beach, is hiring FULL-TIME PAINTERS to work on the team that updates residential units and/or common areas in need of renovations and painting. You'll be responsible to maintain all work areas in a clean and safe manner while properly patching and prepare assigned areas for painting. Take proper precautions (drop cloths, plastic, etc.) in all areas to limit damage from spills or splatters while using proper amount of paint per job in order to provide adequate paint coverage while minimizing over order of paint.
Additional duties include:
* Leave one quart of paint properly labeled with color and apartment number in each unit each time painting is completed in a unit.
* Maintain all equipment and tools provided by JKV.
* Secure/lock work area as required to ensure safety of residents, visitors or staff.
* Train and teach staff as requested.
* Assist with creating supply orders as requested and share information needed with the Manager to maintain adequate materials needed to complete assignments.
* Assist Team as required
We want to speak with candidates that bring 3+ yrs working experience as painter with the ability to lift up to 40lbs, climb ladders and squat and stand up to 8 hours a day. Additionally, you'll be able to work during all weather condition, possible in extreme heat indoors and outdoors, have a valid FL Drivers License and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools necessary to complete assignment.
Able to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, in a professional manner.

Your day as a EMT/Security Officer
As a Full-Time EMT/Security Officer at John Knox Village of Florida, you will be the first line of response to emergency calls from Residents, Employees, and Visitors, ensuring that every situation is handled efficiently and professionally. Your role will involve greeting individuals with empathy and care, providing immediate assistance when emergencies arise. Are you the EMT/Security Officer we're looking for?
To excel as a Full-Time EMT/Security Officer at John Knox Village of Florida, candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and maintain a State Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic license. A valid driver's license is required, alongside 1 to 3 years of related experience in emergency response or security. Strong attention to detail and effective note-taking skills are essential for documenting incidents and ensuring clarity in communication. Assists in replacing, installing, repairing, and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems as required.
Performs corrective, routine work on plumbing systems as required.
Performs corrective, routine, and requisitioned of electrical and mechanical systems as required.
Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
Responds to code red alerts.

Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
