Our FieldServiceTechnicians support our customers at their sites across the country with their commissioning, maintenance and other service needs.
What You Will Do
Travel to customer sites from your home office to perform preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of a wide variety of our manufactured electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to pumps, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), positioners, valves, actuators, transmitters, combustion equipment, emissions monitoring equipment, digital recorders, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Commission, troubleshoot, and alter different types of PLC's (mainly Allen Bradley and GE) proportional-integral-derivative (PID) loop controllers, VFD's, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and other control devices.
Be on call for customer service as required.
Modify technical documents and drawings (redlines) to represent final field changes and corrections for commissioning of equipment.
Perform maintenance and inspections in confined spaces such as tanks, vaults, and crawl spaces.
Follow all safety protocols for confined space entry, including use of gas monitors and retrieval systems.
Travel extensively within your region, up to 75% travel is expected, and potentially the US.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in modifying, diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC's such as, but not limited to, Allen Bradley and GE brands.
Experience understanding and applying National Electrical Code (NEC)
Experience reading and understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&ID), fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics.
Able to travel over 75% of the time.
A Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) will have to be obtained within first six (6) weeks of employment.
Valid Driver's License, able to drive a company vehicle and respond to customers as the need arises.
Physical requirements:
Able to lift up to 50# on occasion and 25# routinely, able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb and maneuver around skidded equipment and piping.
Able to hear distinct sounds, visualize all colors of spectrum and visually see up close and at distance.
This work is in an outdoor environment and long workdays on occasion.
Enter and exit confined spaces (may involve crawling, climbing, or crouching)
Work in tight or enclosed environments for extended periods
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix, RS Linx, GE Rx3i, and other comparable Manufacturer's Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
2-year Technical Degree from an accredited college or trade school in a mechanically-based technical major, OR 4 years of military service working with in relevant job fieldsField work experience in the petrochemical, power generation, renewable energy, pulp & paper or food processing industries.
Experience with Modicon and Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Electrical journeyman license
Experience with Industrial safety, OSHA and NFPA 70E or equivalent experience
Experience working on all types of industrial, electrical and electronic equipment including, but not limited to motors, VFD's, positioners, valves, actuators, transmitters and PLC equipment.
Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20mA loop devices.
For this role, we anticipate paying $35 - $47 an hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

Job Description
JOB FUNCTION:
This position ensures the purity of the water processed for MPW Industrial Water customers at various project sites. The FieldServiceTechnician will be responsible for providing our on-site technical customer service. This individual will be responsible for chemical tests, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Travels up to 75% of the time to various project sites and maintains MPW Water Purification Equipment.
Acts as support function to multiple locations as needed.
Adheres to all Safety rules, regulations and guidelines, including proper housekeeping.
Works closely with the customer, daily, to troubleshoot and repair system operational problems and makes corrections when appropriate.
Tracks the performance, via daily logs, of the equipment at the various project sites.
Performs required labor at the various project sites, including hose and pipe assembly, chemical drum handling, chemical transfer, filter backwashes, filter media replacement, pump maintenance, membrane cleaning and replacement.
Uses monitoring equipment to test water quality to assure established standards are being met.
Responsible for calibration of monitoring equipment.
Perform water analysis and/or collects samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis.
Completes PC-based reports on site conditions, test results, site corrections and site deficiencies.
Work with PLC controls; repairs pumps, instruments, and control panels
Provides ongoing interface with customers to assure they are satisfied with job and acts as technical consultant and liaison with customer management and technical counterparts.
Maintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, and piping), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysis..
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Has daily communication with respective Regional FieldService Manager.
May be required to assist at regeneration facilities when necessary.
Will be required to travel (up to 75%) and work overtime as required.
