CTY is seeking
Baltimore Emerging Scholars instructor
to teach an enrichment program for Baltimore City Schools' pre-college students who show high academic potential. CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars is a 25-week advanced enrichment course designed by CTY to test students' critical thinking skills and to further their academic interests through inquiry-based activities. The 25-week program will run from October through May for students in grades 1-5 at three Baltimore City Schools: Commodore John Rodgers, Francis Scott Key, and Highlandtown #215. Instructors' core responsibilities are to plan and conduct their classes within CTY guidelines and including planning and conducting their classes within CTY guidelines and monitoring and evaluating the progress of each student.
Instructor working hours are based on the assigned school's schedule, including additional program planning and preparation, training, professional development, and team meetings. Instructors will teach in person at their designated school in Baltimore, Maryland. Each class session should be the equivalent of 60 minutes per class, 3 classes a week, or 2 classes a week. Instructional staff report directly to the CTY Assistant Program Manager.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Use the provided CTY curriculum and instructional materials to develop daily objectives and lessons.
Monitor students' academic progress toward stated objectives of instruction. Effectively communicate progress with program leadership.
Provide meaningful and detailed feedback on assignments in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain standards of student behavior for a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Evaluate curriculum effectiveness and assist in refining the curriculum to enhance student performance.
Aid in the facilitation of CTY research efforts as related to the CTY Emerging Scholars program.
Maintain productive relationships through communication with students, parents/guardians, program leadership, and school staff.
Escalate any concerns to leadership.
Additional duties include working as a team member to provide support to other instructors.

Faculty Associate - Headache Specialty

The University of Maryland Faculty Practice is seeking a full-time faculty member with specialty training in Headache and facial pain syndromes to join the Department of Neurology.
The Department of Neurology provides evaluation, treatment, and care for patients suffering from a wide range of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and migraine. We provide care through our inpatient and consultative services, our designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, our Level 4 Epilepsy Center, our 22-bed Neuro-Critical Care Unit, and our busy outpatient practice. The Department also provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services. A number of departmental faculty received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Veteran's Administration to study the role of genetics in stroke, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease, new brain imaging modalities in multiple sclerosis, biomarkers in multiple sclerosis, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disability. Many of our faculty are lead investigators in clinical trials to identify new therapeutic approaches for a broad range of neurological disorders.
The faculty member will expand a multi-disciplinary outpatient practice focusing on headache, migraine and facial pain syndromes. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient consultation as well as procedures such as chemo denervation, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, infusion protocols and alternative approaches as appropriate, as well as coordinate clinical trials related to headache. Strong collaboration with behavioral health and integrative plan services is expected. The selected faculty will participate in education and teaching of medical students and residents and to assist with launch of a headache fellowship.
Salary range:
Faculty Associate $260,000 to $300,000.00 annual

Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. About this role
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business, Marketing, or Management, or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Business Administration, Finance, Business, Marketing, or Management.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business, Marketing, or Management.
Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom.
Must be able to use the technology required for the assigned course.
Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as scheduled or required.
Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

The team currently covers Sibley and Suburban Hospitals and outpatient imaging centers.
The position:
-Subspecialized including thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic imaging
-No Neuro, Mammo, IR, PET, outpatient MSK or Peds
