Position Overview:
This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. This Operator position is part of the Pay for Skills program and is part of skills progression.
Your day to day:
Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
Relieve other employees as directed
Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made
Maintaining daily housekeeping requirements
Follow JSA/SOP's
Wear proper clothing and PPE as required

Pay Range
$72,900.00-$100,200.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The purpose of the Production Supervisor role is to supervise the day-to-day activities of an hourly production team for a single product line to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and wastage targets; and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines, and interface with other departments in support of production.
The Milan, Ohio facility compounds Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) into calendered rubber roofing commercial grade membrane. EPDM is a synthetic rubber single ply roofing membrane known for its durability, ease of installation, and superior weathering characteristics. Milan is a 120+ employee non-union facility, with an engaged, continuous-improvement minded workforce. Milan is a key facility of the Roofing Systems Division of Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway Company.
Your Day to Day:
Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team
Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels
Investigate root causes issues that are related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints and or fire investigations
Ensure production team understands complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policies
Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functions
Accurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner
Transmit production performance statistics concerns to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent and make recommendations for improvement
Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team:
High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

The Associate Product Consultant is responsible for providing high quality customer care to create a positive experience for consumers. Your Day-to- Day:

Budget Input - Forecast costs for upcoming calendar month and year. Develop, implement, and participate in cost savings initiatives.

Pay Range
$86,600.00-$119,100.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The Plant Occupational Nurse provides full-time injury/illness assessment and first aid support for work-related cases on-site during regular business hours and after-hours on call. The position would also be responsible for regulatory compliance and program management, as well as other responsibilities of an Industrial Nurse.
Your Day to Day:
Injury Case Management
Provide and/or coordinate on-site first aid treatment, off-site treatment and daily case management for all work-related injuries
Manage injury recordkeeping, internal reporting and Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation case management process
Team with off-site Occupational Clinic for employee physicals and care
Manage on-site emergency medical response (EMR) team, including treatment guidance, monthly trainings, supplies, documentation and certifications
Preventive Health
Organize and/or administer on-site First Aid/CPR classes
Oversee flu shot clinic, blood drive, health fair, etc. as appropriate
Manage AED program including regular inspection, preventive maintenance and restock of supplies
Maintain schedule for Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy clinics/training
Provide support for general employee health concerns and work impact
Regulatory Compliance
Manage Hearing Conservation Program, including securing CAOHC OHC certification, annual audiograms, follow up exams with audiologist, STS case management and reporting, non-occupational exposure investigations, employee training, new hire baseline testing and EarFit attenuation testing
Manage Respiratory Protection Program including securing PFT technologist certification, employee medical clearance, silica exam requirements, annual fit testing, employee training and compliance tracking
Medical Office and Equipment Management
Maintain necessary calibrations for audiometric booth, spirometry, etc.
Maintain first aid and drug screening supplies, OTC medications, vaccines, etc. and restock as needed; manage vendor/supplier accounts (setup, purchase orders, etc.)
Administer vaccines, (Hep B, Flu, tetanus) and/or testing (flu, COVID) and manage employee consent
Ensure HIPAA/OSHA-compliant medical records management
Health and Safety Team
Engage as a team member through weekly touch base to support health and safety initiatives
Support new employee training to include hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and attenuation fit testing for hearing protection
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, unencumbered Ohio Nursing License, clinical experience (2 years of occupational health experience preferred); Valid Driver's License
Demonstrated ability to perform employee assessment of vitals/blood pressure checks, pulmonary function testing, respirator fit testing and audiometric testing
Fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations and working knowledge of workers compensation guidelines and case management
Demonstrated ability to support drug screens (urine, cheek swab, etc.), ADA collaboration and compliance, and employee leave/return to work requirements
Basic computer skills for data entry, compliance tracking, communications
Ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
Minimal travel required (0 - 10 days per year) for certifications, conferences, etc.

The Plant Finance Manager is the most senior financial leader at the Milan, OH site and a key member of the site leadership team as well as the division finance team. Your Day to Day:
Act as technical expert in regards to mechanical equipment

You'll cross-train on multiple lines so you are able to assist with any role on any line that needs help.
At the start of each workday, you'll be assigned to one of the production lines. If working on a solo line, you'll oversee filling and case-packing. If it's a dual-operator line, you and a partner will do each role. If you see anything that looks off, you will pull the item. This can be a can or box label with a misprint, a lid that isn't on properly, a cardboard case with a loose flap, or any number of other things. You will also periodically pull cans to weigh them and make sure the filling equipment is working to our weight parameters. You will also do changeovers between various paints, make sure the cardboard machine stays full of cases for packing, and assist anyone else as needed.
Here's what we're looking for from you:
Excellent attendance. We can't stress this enough. Operators are the most vital part of this operation.
A commitment to safety. We are very proud of our safety record and want you to be a part of that. You will be required to wear proper safety equipment, including steel toed shoes at all times.
A desire to learn and grow. We hope you will think of this as the beginning of your career here. Some of our facility managers started as third shift operators, and we hope you grow with us, too!
Physical ability. You will be on your feet for the entire shift. You'll be lifting individual paint cans or sometimes full cases of 4 cans, which can weigh up to 50 pounds. This will happen several times a day.
A high school diploma or GED is required.

This position requires NO MANDATORY OVERTIME.
The Defiance, OH location manufactures direct melt products including wet chop glass fibers primarily for specialty applications, glass reinforcements for gypsum wall boards, direct dry chop for plastic reinforcements, single end roving for weavers and plastic reinforcements, and glass mat.

Your Day to Day:
Inspect, assemble, install, and repair all electrical AC and DC circuits, instrumentation, switchgear, motors, and other electrical equipment throughout the plant.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as prescribed by Plant Supervision.
Aid Plant Mechanics and Operations personnel in resolving day-to-day equipment problems.
Adhere to all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
Hours: 6-2 rotating shift.
A - shift 12 am to 8 am
B - shift 8 am to 4 pm
C - shift 4 pm to 12 am
D - shift covers all three shifts The rotation is as follows: two 4 pm to 12 am shifts, 24 hours off, two 12 am to 8 am shifts and 24 hours off and two 8 am to 4 pm shifts and 48 hours off. After the 48 hours the rotation starts over.
What You Bring to the Team:
High school diploma or GED
Industrial Electrician Journeyman Card or equivalent experience.
Ability to stand, walk, and use tools continuously as well as frequently reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50lbs.
Troubleshooting experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC drives and basic instrumentation (temperature, level, pressure).
Working knowledge of basic electrical equipment (digital multimeter, megger, etc.)
Ability to tolerate working from heights and elevated temperatures.
Good hearing, vision (color), speaking, and finger dexterity skills.
Basic Computer skills and the ability to understand technical prints, charts, and diagrams.

The EH&S Technician plays a key role in fostering a safe and compliant work environment within a 24/5 industrial setting. This position supports the facility's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and will help drive the safety culture in Milan, as well as provide full administrative support for the EHS Manager. Ability to perform electrical control systems engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance.
Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects.
Assist the Corporate Electrical Group in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards.
Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.
Provide project management and oversight for all aspects and phases of more than one project assignment concurrently and responsible for driving projects to completion.
