Required Qualifications:
One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. They independently assess, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. RRTs work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver life-saving therapies and patient-centered care.
Essential Work Functions:
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders
Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples
Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications
Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate
Observe and record patient status and progress
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care
Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.

Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.

Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create validation protocols for processes, equipment (IQ, OQ, and PQ), cleaning procedures, facilities, and computerized systems.
Serves as system administrator and technical SME responsible for ensuring systems are qualified and functioning as intended, process flow of tasks are well designed and efficient, and systems are compliant with regulatory and corporate standards for data integrity and purpose, thus ensuring adequate quality systems and respective written procedures and practices are in place for these computerized systems for the lifecycle, (e.g., change control, validation, coding standards, training, problem reporting, hardware, software and interface operations, system security, electronic records/electronic signatures, audit trail processes, data integrity, etc.).

Studies chemical compounds and uses research to support the development of products or processes.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for supporting risk assessments for any product quality inquiries, calculations of formulation content, and/or supports the assessment of any potentially applicable emerging risks as may be identified within the pharmaceutical industry.
Liaises with laboratory section managers and other QC personnel, IT and service providers to support questions, resolve problems and provide training as needed.

Assists with and carries out other departmental duties as deemed appropriate by Manager to meet the goals, business objectives, and production plans.
Keeps current with technical and professional literature and compendia, attending technical discussions, and training opportunities as applicable and beneficial.
Encourages safety first in work practices via guidance from training sessions, chemical hygiene plan, Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), and other technical literature and resources.
Perform statistical analysis of laboratory and process data to support Annual Product Reviews and Continued Process Verification programs.

No more than 1 CMV on-road preventable accident in the last 2 years. No major CMV preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years, or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test. No drug related conviction within the past 5 years, or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL. No positive/refused tests in the past 10 years with CDL-A/CLP.

Responsibilities
Telemetry RNs (Tele RNs) consult with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. The Tele RN utilizes machines that measure a patient's heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, as well as blood oxygen levels and electrocardiogram information. Tele RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Tele RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report an adverse reaction to medications in accordance with policies
Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient
Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team member
Monitor specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
