Recruits, hires, and retains Service support operational staff. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate matrix functional manager. Ensures a consistent level of coaching, which includes: monthly 'one-on-one(s)', operational and financial reviews. External Relationship: The Branch Service Manager is actively involved in the local service community, industry organizations, and charity organizations and face-to-face networking with technical schools, community colleges, and local union leadership. Internal Relationships: * Assists the Branch General Manager on the successful execution of the service strategies and objectives. * Assists the Branch General Manager to effectively plan for the future operational resource needs and assists in allocating resources throughout the assigned territory to meet near term commitments. Assists the Branch General Manager in the preparation of the annual service financial operating plan. What we look for: Desired competencies/behaviors Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred. Eight to ten or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Service Industry including five or more years of direct management experience. Previous sales and/or Account Management experience desired as well as industry networking. High-level competence in written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills and proficiency in speaking to large audiences. Able to lead and direct diverse teams. Able to travel up to 50% of time. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $109K-$146K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at ENTEK, you will locate parts according to BOM, sales order, or other requirements, as well as inventory items for shipping. You will package items as needed to ensure quality standards upon arrival and utilize the shipping process to ship items to customers. Your responsibilities as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk will also include unloading and receiving incoming materials for work orders, putting together assembly kits “kitting”, and maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Duties/Responsibilities: Locate parts according to BOM, Sales order, or other requirements, inventory items for shipping, package items as needed to ensure EMI's quality standards upon arrival, and ship items. Use UPS WorldShip application for smaller or expedited items. Larger items may require custom-built crates, pallets, or other containers for our quality assurance standards. Items may require packaging conducive to ease of assembly by customers. This can include printing and organizing a plan/drawing package and clearly marking kits within the packaging for ease of inventory and assembly. Sales orders may need to be kitted and packaged in a manner which will allow the recipient to easily reference a BOM and account for ordered parts. Design, order materials, and build custom pallets, skids, crates, and boxes for shipping high-value EMI products. Load and ‘coach' OTR drivers on properly tying down EMI products to avoid damage and ensure our quality standards. Account for all incoming parts/items for projects in AX system. Reconcile incoming parts with vendor's pack slip, follow BOM to tag part, place in appropriate location, and mark as received and accounted for within appropriate kit. Alert concerned parties if an expedited item or requisitioned item has arrived. Identify Kanban items and reconcile with appropriate card. Deliver items to departments throughout campus, or to designated managed inventory location (fittings, fasteners, steel for machine shop, etc.). Unload and receive incoming materials for work orders Receive, account for, and deliver Customer Supplied Products. Putting together assembly kits “kitting”. Items received for a given project are put together in a kit, using the latest BOM as a checklist. The driver will be in the Portland area three to four days a week. The need for priority or ‘hot' parts and materials to be picked up or delivered will arise. This position requires the individual to be able to jump off task and assume driving responsibilities. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Follow Lean manufacturing utilizing tools such as Kaizans, 5S, RIE's, and other work area standards. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required. * Assists in developing and testing software programs necessary to operate the system per the project requirements' intent. * Compiles and/or completes project as built and close-out documentation. * Assists in the coordination and creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation. * Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned projects. Coordinates factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule. * Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. * May provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software. * Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. * Assists in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total building control system. * Participates in release meeting with project field team. * Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. * Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. What we look for Required * Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system trouble shooting, repair and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business. * Minimum of Four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry. This includes buildings, chiller plants and systems. * Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems. * Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment. * Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites. * Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. * Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications. * Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $28-37 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
