What you will do
Candidate will maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install 2 or more suppression product lines; emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer's specifications.

This role will report to the Operations Leader Roll Shop of the Cold Mill Manufacturing Unit. Ability to read and understand procedures and work instructions, familiarity with the practical implementation of processes, ideally in a WCM-style
Written and oral communication skills, good computer skills. Maintain detailed records of operational activities, documenting and communicating all relevant aspects of the process
Basic familiarity with abrasives and grinding processes
Able to use micrometer screws, calipers, pi tapes and other mechanical precision measurement tools both digital and analog to identify issues and provide basic adjustments as required
Experience with non-destructive material inspection

The Novelis team in Bay Minette, Alabama has an opening for a Raw Materials Analyst. This role reports to the Supply Chain Leader - Raw Materials. The Raw Materials Analyst is responsible for the report development, data analytics, and schedule/inventory coordination for Bay Minette's Casting Lines. You will partner with operations, procurement, logistics, quality teams, and technical customer service departments to drive supply chain cost improvements and excellence. The day-to-day decisions made by the Raw Materials Analyst have a direct impact on customer centricity (especially OTIF). This role also requires being cross trained across all Bay Minette planning, scheduling, and logistics functions.
Responsibilities:
Supporting world class safety culture.
Maintain and support a safe working environment in the plant.
Monitors daily raw material flow from inbound through the casting process, including evaluating metal inputs and balancing scrap types to support production schedule.
Supports initiatives to improve raw material process flows, helping to eliminate bottlenecks and identify obstacles to production.
Provide order administration support from a scheduling perspective including rotating coverage.

· AC Motors - Working knowledge of alternating current and synchronous motors and the ability to install, troubleshoot, or repair.

This role will report to the Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability & Automation (EMRA) Leader of the hiring Manufacturing Unit. The primary focus of this position is maintenance, service and repair of facilities and equipment. Successful Mechanics are fast learners and self-motivated, independent workers. They will have the ability to work under pressure and the willingness to work in varying conditions. Mechanical Technicians receive training in troubleshooting, technical procedures, and safety.
Responsibilities:

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain machines and the plant facility's equipment
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED or 5yrs industrial experience required
5 years experience in an industrial environment and/or 2 year degree/certification, preferred
Experienced with LOTO of mechanical systems ensuring elimination of stored energy from gravity and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and understand hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
Written and oral communication skills, computer skills and familiarity with computer maintenance management systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repair histories, and equipment performance metrics.
Familiar with safety of cranes, mobile equipment, working in heights, confined space and hot work such as welding.
Rigging experience to replace components
Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance best practices and procedures
Ability to align motors and gearboxes using gauges or laser-based systems
Lead bearing, coupling, or other related part replacement using inductive heating or bearing pullers/hydraulic presses
Able to read gauges both digital and analog and compare to print values to identify issues with fluid systems including oil-based hydraulics, natural gas fired burners, and water-based cooling system and provide basic troubleshoots for minor issues - faulty gauges/valves/settings not to print
Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing rotating equipment, lubrication and cooling systems.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, off-shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support continuous operations.
Hand and power tools use and safety experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Welding experience of carbon and stainless steels
Familiarity with conveyor system for mechanical belt splicing and training
Familiarity with SAP work order system
Experience with pneumatic transport equipment for materials
Predictive maintenance certifications for thermography, vibration, or ultrasonic methods
AWS CWI
Experience with pollution control equipment - i.e. baghouses, precipitators or scrubbers

Experience with servo valves.
Ability to align motors and gearboxes using dial indicators and feeler gauges
Ability to vulcanize rubber conveyor belts and change metallic mesh belts
Knowledge of combustion systems
Experience working with TPM/WCM or continuous improvement
Able to troubleshoot and tune complex issues with fluid systems
Current NCCCO service truck crane operator certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of starting
Experience driving mobile equipment such as small cranes, lifts, fork trucks.

Experience with large baghouse systems with fire detection and suppression equipment - FIKE, GRECON especially

The ideal candidate is responsible for the operation, optimization, and maintenance and reliability oversight of the utility systems supporting aluminum coil production. These systems include compressed air systems, cooling towers, process and deionized water systems, wastewater treatment, firewater infrastructure. The role ensures utility reliability, energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with plant production needs. This role develops and implements solutions, with a focus on meeting engineering and process specifications and permit compliance.
Responsibilities:

Oversee daily performance and reliability of utility systems (e.g., power, air, water) using SCADA, DCS, and Process Data Historians.

Collaborate with the lab to validate process performance and resolve process related issues.
Identify and implement energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
Lead or support capital projects, including scope definition, budgeting, and execution.
Specify and procure equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and other utility support equipment.
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies in collaboration with reliability and maintenance teams.
Support asset criticality analysis and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for repeated issues.
Ensure all systems align with environmental permits (air, water, waste) and PSM / RMP regulations.
Support process hazard analyses (PHA), management of change (MOC), and mechanical integrity inspections.
Create and maintain SOPs, P&IDs, and O&M manuals.
Train operators and technicians on system operation and safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years in industrial utilities process or water and wastewater treatment systems, preferably in aluminum, steel, pulp and paper, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical manufacturing, or power generation industries.
Strong understanding of treatment processes, including hydraulics, chemistry, biology, and polymers, and their integration into equipment operation
Certifications (preferred): PE license, Energy Manager (CEM), or similar proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, PI System, CMMS (e.g., SAP PM), and project scheduling tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Competencies in thermodynamics and heat transfer, furnace system, heat exchanger, and energy balance.
