Senior Customer Service Representative role:
Provides complex customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of domestic and international order information in a timely manner. Initiates and/or implements corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Provides all customer service functions including order processing, order expediting-domestic and international, proof of delivery, invoice adjustments, and warranty claims.
Responds to customer calls and emails requiring a thorough knowledge of products, availability and the ordering process. Coordinates activities and relays information between the customer, factory, and sales teams ensure customer satisfaction. Assists customers by providing the best solution; efficiently utilizing all available resources and tools for account selection, product identification, order placement, order management, and pricing and invoice discrepancies.
Actively participates in Company initiatives, and proactively identifies workflow inefficiencies, provides suggestions/ideas to improve process/procedures, and works with management to implement/deploy changes or enhancements
Creates and maintains Standard Work Documentation of Internal Processes.
Responsible for own development, commits to learning and growth by leveraging feedback, coaching, and an individual development plan. Researches unusual requests to determine alternate solutions to complex customer problems. Provides customers with details of options available and expedites requests to meet stated requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Fully competent to completely set up and operate metal fabricating machines to cut, bend, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to blueprints and specifications. Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, engineering drawings, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, sequence of operations, and material requirements.
Safety Awareness - Takes responsibility for his or her own safety as well as the safety of others. Understands the proper processes/equipment in the department. Knowledge of JSA's, PPE usage, 5S, and all safety regulations in the facility. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of working area.
Quality - Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisors. Performs first article inspection for conformance to specifications both blue print and work order.
Teamwork - Builds teamwork by working with other departments, shifts, and management to meet and exceed customer expectations. Communicate regularly and effectively with co-workers, utilities, coordinators, and management and reports problems with safety, quality, processes, equipment, materials, and/or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor. Displays professionalism in the workplace, able to perform duties during times of stress and pressure.
Continuous Improvement - Ability to manage time and deliver results. Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions with the understanding of value-added versus non-value added activities and improve the ratio. Ability to collect, understand and explain production data corresponding to the majority of the machinery.
Flexibility. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed.
Demonstrated ability to use computer, utilizing software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems. Relevant knowledge to look up blueprints, CNC programs, production orders, key parts into inventory, and use the system as a tool to assist in production.
Must perform operator preventative maintenance of equipment.
Perform other assignments as directed by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and 2 years of experience.

**Core Responsibilities:**
+ Provide technical assistance and support to company engineers and equipment end users in the quick and efficient startup of newly installed wastewater equipment, training of site personnel in the operation and maintenance and repair of the equipment.
+ Work in industrial, municipal water, and wastewater facilities that may be under construction or already existing and may be required to travel internationally as well as domestically, with some extended stays. Work may exceed eight hours per day.
+ Be responsible for the commissioning of both single water treatment devices as well as entire industrial systems.
+ Maintain standard internal documents and reports, scripting details & updating tasks including managing and separating work done, and work to be done to maintain typical project schedules.
+ Use Microsoft Office suite daily and internal programs such as on-line travel assistants and electronic expense reporting programs (SAP, Concur ideal).
+ Develop a positive and professional working relationship with specialty and union site craft, learn and follow site rules and safety regulations, and use good judgment on behalf of Xylem.
+ Self-driven and ability to work onsite independently as needed.

What you will do

Fire Sprinkler Installation employees are responsible for the installation, service, and repair of fire protection systems including: wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam suppression systems; as well as fire pumps and back flow devices. What you will do
Manages schedule of assigned technicians and mechanics. Ensures schedule allows for timely completion of preventative maintenance and aligns with monthly forecasting goals. What you will do
Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. With a high level of complete technical competence, mentors control technicians, service technicians and mechanical technicians on building automation activities. Properly completes required project and service documentation. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service
How you will do it
o Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
o Consults with the customer through data gathered and site assessments. Provides field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment. Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
o Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction. Reports problems or changes to management immediately. Interfaces with branch manager, service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required ethically and professionally.
o Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. May assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
o Install and modify software and graphics.
o Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and replacement. Promotes the sale of add-on work.
o Adheres to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provides safety leadership and instruction to all control's technicians in the branch. Provides safety awareness while working onsite with Johnson Controls subcontractors.
o Trains the customer in control systems operations. Delivers manuals and documentation to the customer for training needs as required.
o Provides mentorship for certification of Controls Technicians and Service Technicians on complex building automation systems. Coaches, supports and trains the technical workforce on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
o Compiles job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training form, training certificates and punch lists.
o Conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines. Completes certifications as required by the company.
o Other duties related to the installing, commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems and energy management systems, as assigned.
o Assists in the design and configuration of building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
o Assists in developing and testing software programs necessary to operate the system per the project requirements' intent.
o Compiles and/or completes project as built and close-out documentation.
o Assists in the coordination and creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
o Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned.
o Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
o May provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
o Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
o Assists in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total building control system.
o Participates in release meeting with project field team.
o Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
o Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for
o Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system trouble shooting, repair and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
o Minimum of Six (6) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry. This includes buildings, chiller plants and systems.
o Vocational School program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems.
o Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
o Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
o Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
o Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
o Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.92 - $35.55 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
