What you will do
Johnson Controls is hiring! Our Product Technical Support Engineer provides technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization, as well as our Data Center Accounts, in a consistent manner across all product offerings based out of our New Freedom, PA, location. This role can be remote for the right person!
How you will do it
* Provide day-to-day technical support for key Data Center Accounts to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, fax, or email.
* Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing products and new products being introduced. Product Technical Support Engineer provides technical support and interacts with quality management and engineering to improve overall life cycle cost. The specialist should be able to create test plans to prove out new and or existing product equipment offerings.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) General Job Description:
This position is responsible for independently delivering engineering services, from conceptual design through construction completion.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Complete project planning, coordination, and execution with some oversight
Independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for multiple small and medium sized standard projects simultaneously
Create conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards
Responsible for plumbing calculations, design and layout of equipment, plumbing systems on assigned projects
Solid understanding of commercial plumbing applications such as gas piping, waste and vent, domestic water distribution, and kitchen plumbing design
Appropriate engagement of engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions
Proactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners
Conduct economic and energy analyses
Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving/troubleshooting, as required
Responsible for the quality of design drawings and models
Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members
Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines
Oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager
Strong understanding of ACCO engineering standards and project execution processes
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Position Requirements:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management
Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required
3+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant
Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals
Thorough understanding of systems and applications
Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

Hours:
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours are established by the local manager and generally begin and end between 7:00 am to 8:00 am start and 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm end, with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.
Competitive Wages:
$44.83 to $57.87 per hour. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
MEMS Characterization Senior Engineer will work with design, process, and failure analysis engineer on assisting characterization and failure analysis of the MEMS device, while supporting technology development, product qualifications and quality monitoring. Employee will maintain and develop new test solutions, recommend hardware requirements based on existing trends in characterization.
Responsibilities
Developing and maintain MEMS test solutions for production failure analysis, collaborating with design and process engineering to further characterization efforts and drive yield improvement
Ensuring hardware and software installations are maintained.
Continuous improvement of characterization capabilities collaborating with MEMS development team
Perform microphone, MEMS, assembly failure analysis
Work with design and process engineer to define characterization requirements and support execution of the characterization, including submitting work order requests and writing characterization reports.
Qualifications
Master of Science/Engineering in Electrical/Mechanical/Material/Physics (or related field) with 2-5 years' experience. PhD is a plus
Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and with failure analysis of MEMS sensors is desired
Familiar with material/device characterization using optical, electrical, mechanical methods
Basic knowledge of acoustics and mechanics is an asset.
Must be a team player with good communication skill.
Familiar with material/device characterization using optical, electrical, mechanical methods
Knowledge of calibration methodologies and best practices
Basic knowledge of statistical analysis (JMP, MiniTab, R) is an asset
Reliability testing experience is an asset

Proficient in finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics or ANSYS for 3D MEMS microphone simulations is a plus

What you will do We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and technical assistance to our North American clients. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective support. You will be in direct contact with system partners, commissioning field technicians. As a member of the technical support, you will collaborate closely with other departments including sales, customer service, inside sales, marketing, training and R&D.

How you will do it
As technical support specialist, you will provide product support to customers and sales teams. You will support the full product range from JCI Global fire detection products, using Company produced software tools to provide solution on site or to assist customer requirement.
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional manner.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Escalate complex problems to higher-level support or engineering teams when necessary.
* Document issues, solutions, and customer interactions in the support system (Salesforce).
* Provide guidance on product usage, updates, and best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve support processes and customer experience.
Create and maintain the Articles in Salesforce.
Site visits to new or existing installations when required.

* Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics or relevant experience in the Fire Detection industry.
* Minimum 5+ years of technical support or helpdesk experience in the Fire Detection industry..
* Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, mac OS, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jira).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
