This role will serve as Marketing lead on I&A project teams and will own Marketing deliverables through new product development stage-gates through launch excellence. The role will partner across the OTTAVA Marketing team to help build and deliver J&J MedTech's multi-quadrant surgical robotics system to markets, globally. Key activities include learning plans including market research and market/competitive intel, building the business case with value propositions, working with development an cross-functional partners to achieve milestones, and partnering with regional leads to implement product launches worldwide in support of the OTTAVA System launch. Major Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as Marketing lead on I&A new product development cross-functional teams to progress project through the pipelines and develop the commercial strategy. Lead the development of key business deliverables for I&A projects including target product profile, segmentation / targeting / positioning, pricing, evidence generation strategy, messaging, promotion, customer engagement strategy, communication plans. Partner across OTTAVA GSM team on I&A deliverables when projects have connections across hardware and digital. Ensure thorough understanding of the I&A and robotics market, competitive offerings for related instrument categories and portfolio working closely with the competitive and strategic insights teams. Ensure comprehensive learning plan and execution on I&A projects to include ensuring features and functionality exceed customer expectations and support the value proposition. Working with regional leads to share learnings and insights. Drive collaboration with cross functional project teams including R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Human Factors & Experience Design, Pre-clinical, Clinical, and Medical (PCM), Labeling / Packaging, Business Development, and Regional Marketing Leads. Deliver launch excellence deliverables for projects and partner across the organization to launch I&A projects globally as part of overall OTTAVA system launch. Learn more at *******************/medtech The Director, Product Brand Marketing, OTTAVA will be part of the Global Strategic Marketing team for our Ottava Surgical Robotics Portfolio. Reporting to the VP NPD and Platform Strategy, you will partner across Ottava strategic marketing, Medtech Surgery and J&J communications to develop a differentiated narrative demonstrating category leadership in the next era of robotic surgery. The primary objectives of this role include: * Collaborate with key partners across J&J MedTech to develop and deliver a differentiated narrative in robotics. * Collaborate across functions and organizations to create clarity around brand story, application, and messaging to build alignment and consistency in application and communication of strategy and tactics. * Lead cross-functional efforts to develop sales collateral, commercial playbooks, product and training collateral while creating a highly visible process for communicating progress and capacity. * Support and ensure high quality development of marketing product assets. * Build a high-performing team with a culture of inclusion and a diverse pipeline of talent for the future. * Connect and translate core strategic marketing deliverables of segmentation, targeting and positioning into a multi-channel, communication strategy, inclusive of creative and idea approaches/selection, and initiatives * Partner with Front end and Upstream / New Product Development Global Marketing and Development team leads to support naming, expression and communication messaging for Surgical robotics platforms and product-based messaging, business objectives. * Responsible to stay abreast of latest market trends and research results and incorporation of key learnings into messaging and communication initiatives Qualifications: Education: * A Bachelor's Degree is required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred. Required Skills and Experience: * 10+ years of related business experience, including at least 5+ years of experience in brand management. * Demonstrated leadership ability to successfully work across functional and geographic boundaries, preferably across multiple countries/market types/access models. * Proven track record of initiating, building, and managing brand strategy and/or communication plans. * Experience executing positioning initiatives, messaging platforms / campaign ideas and communication tactics across various mediums and channels. * Proven track record of managing creative agency relationships. * Proven track record of budget resources being used appropriately and according to plan. * Demonstrated strong written communication and presentation skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead and drive effective cross-functional efforts with the ability to influence senior management decisions and lead key discussions. * Ability to gather data, analysis quickly and ability to understand and communicate complex concepts. * Ability to facilitate and communicate at all levels of the organization. * Ability to collaborate and lead across boundaries (e.g. with other J&J companies and Robotics & Digital Solutions). Preferred Skills and Experience: * Healthcare and B2B background. * Knowledge of surgical procedures. * Experience leading the global launch of a product or solution. * Medical device industry knowledge and background.
