About the Role This role is all about making things happen. You'll manage on-site customer service activities, ensuring smooth order processing and shipping operations. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success, making you an essential part of our growth journey. Individual will have on site responsibility and engagement for processing of purchase orders, sales orders, and of all shipping functions performed at either the JM plant or the off-site warehouse. Collaborates closely with customers, Sales and S&OP teams to evaluate incoming demands, identify needs and coordinate the dispatch of FG materials accordingly. Individual is responsible for shipping activities for JM customers worldwide including Toll parts. Individual is primary point of contact for customer shipments. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES * Be the Customer Champion: Act as the primary point of contact for customer shipments and inquiries. * Manage Orders & Shipments: Process purchase and sales orders, coordinate shipping from JM plants and off-site warehouses. * Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Commercial teams to meet customer demands. * Monitor & Report: Track on-time delivery performance, analyze reasons for delays, and escalate issues when needed. * Ensure Compliance: Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies. Requirements for the role: * Bachelor's degree (Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred). * Experience in manufacturing operations and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. * Knowledge of INCOTERMS, inventory control, and international shipping procedures. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. * Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills. Job purpose This position, which reports directly to the Material and Logistics Supervisor is primarily responsible for handling, processing incoming material, shipping material from the Material and Logistics departments, and assisting with supporting other members of the Material and Logistics department and Supply Chain with maintaining consistent and timely material flow. Principal accountabilities * Safety: * Ensures that self and team members always adhere to EH&S standards, and that production timelines do not override safety and fulfilment of EH&S requirements. * Comply with all EH&S and Ergonomic policies including JM's Life Saving Policies (LSPs). * Participate in monthly safety meetings. * Must be able to ensure adherence to safe work by oneself and other members of the Supply Chain. * Quality: * Monitor material and inventories at the West Whiteland facility while ensuring conformance to Group and Local Security procedures and procedures. * Ensure that all metal is accurately weighed and recorded properly for all metal transactions. * Ensures compliance of self to maintain defined quality standards and non-conformances are investigated and escalated as appropriate. * Accurately document all metal movement. * Delivery: * Support the site's OTIF goals by ensuring all customer orders ship on time and in full daily. * Communicate daily with the Material Handling Team lead and Scheduling Supervisor to ensure deadlines and commitments to customers are achievable and met. * Ensure all shipments are suitably packed to meet transportation, security, regulatory, and operational requirements. * Assist with basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems or arrange for equipment to be repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians. * Be personally accountable for completing all activities per training, skills & standards. * Cost: * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the implementation of best practice principles to enhance performance and operations. * Actively lead or support problem solving efforts as appropriate to help the team achieve its goals. * People: * Assist team members to help resolve problems and apply safe standards of work. * Promote, establish, and maintain collaborative approach and communication with all employees within the site and various business units. * Models JM Values & Behaviours. Your Responsibilities: · Assist with developing and submitting Plant budgets, forecasting templates, and long-range plans within the JM Clean Air planning and forecasting cycles focusing on all cost centers for the plants, including a granular understanding of headcount and people costs. · Responsible for providing variations analysis, downloads and forecasts in real time and summarizing these through the month end close and forecasting process. · As part of regular reporting cycle, provide Plant Management team, Business and Finance stakeholders with prompt, clear, comprehensive reporting summarizing monthly SG&A and R&D costs against targets. Specifically: o Responsible for monthly submissions and Financial Forecast with appropriate commentary on actual vs. budget/forecast. o Responsible for monthly forecast submissions for all relevant cost centers in the plant. · Responsible for reviewing cost center accounts with the GL Accountants whom are based overseas ensuring any accounting entries required are made to ensure that balance sheets are recorded accurately. · Work closely with the Plant Finance Manager to provide business partnering support to the plant SG&A, global SG&A, and R&D teams undertaking variance analysis reviews on cost centers, standards, identification of trend and preparing root cause analysis. Use this analysis to improve profit by identifying risks and opportunities, translating this into actionable insights and plans, setting stretch target plans and monitoring plan execution. · Demonstrate a deep understanding of cost drivers and performance and work with the Plant Management team to translate this into actionable insights and action plans. · Act as key point of contact for US Tax team for investigation, support, and internal audits for all US Tax. · Liaise with all departments, especially supply chain, procurement, HR, IT, local finance, for reporting to following sector policies. · Prepare ad hoc Plant financial analysis to support Plant Management team with tactical and strategic decision-making including process optimization suggestions. · Develop and maintain strong relationships with Plant Management team and Sector team stakeholders involved in Plant management accounting processes and support the development and adherence to local accounting policies and procedures.
