The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the complete management of logistics operations at the Terry Center Loading Dock and the Veterinary Hospital's mail room. You will be a part of ensuring the accurate and timely processing and distribution of all incoming packages and correspondence, supporting the operational needs of the entire hospital.

* Receive and Log Shipments: Manage daily receipt of packages from all carriers at the Loading Dock. Accurately sort shipments, log all details (receipt and delivery dates) in the Qtrak tracking software, and prepare for final distribution.
* Manage Inventory Receiving: Execute the full receiving process for Central Services shipments, including unpacking and logging items into the ezy Vet inventory system to close out Purchase Orders (POs).
* Resolve Discrepancies: Collaborate with Purchasing Agents and Department Buyers to quickly identify and resolve any receiving or PO discrepancies. Process and scan all packing lists daily.
* Maintain Operational Readiness: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the Loading Dock, ensuring all transport equipment is functional.
* Logistics Support: Assist with the collection and staging of Surplus items. Support the delivery of oversized or heavy Capital Assets to departments.
* Hospital Mail Management: Receive, sort, and efficiently distribute all USPS mail to the appropriate recipients and departments across the hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required.
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
Certain assignments may require other qualifications and skills.
Associates who work Stockroom shifts\: Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds.

A Day in The Life of a Warehouse Associate
As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for performing warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as general maintenance of assigned areas.
Complete log sheets and handle inbound shipments
Verify supplier returns and enter order receipts
Relocate and consolidate material
Prepare and assemble packing lists
Pack, label, wrap, and load outbound trucks

Education & Experience
High school degree or equivalent preferred
No experience required/ entry level
1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
Basic computer skills preferred
Basic problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment
