Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner. Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area. You will wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork. Clean biohazard material Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department when needed. Expected to immediately clean or correct problem areas. Perform other responsibilities may be assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform daily housekeeping duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, including but not limited to: * Dusting and cleaning surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. * Replenishing restroom, classroom, and common-area supplies. * Emptying trash and recycling containers and ensuring proper disposal. * Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning floors. * Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch areas. * Perform general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, or reporting facility issues requiring skilled maintenance. * Monitor, organize, and maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms, classrooms, event spaces, and break rooms to ensure they remain ready for use according to the daily schedule. * Assist with furniture and equipment setup, arrangement, and breakdown for meetings, trainings, events, and special programs as needed. * Assist with maintaining campus exteriors by picking up debris, cleaning entryways, monitoring sidewalks for hazards, and reporting outdoor maintenance issues. * Monitor copy paper inventory and notify supervisor when supply is low. * Monitor cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment; report shortage to supervisor. * Ensure safe and proper use of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety regulations (including SDS requirements). * Detail, clean, and fuel district vehicles. * Monitor routine vehicle maintenance needs and report concerns promptly. * Retrieve U.S. mail daily from the post office and distribute as directed. * Assist with transporting materials, deliveries, or inter-campus items as needed. * Follow all safety policies, hazard communication standards, and emergency procedures. * Maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) use for tasks requiring chemical handling or equipment operation. * Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional training in custodial services, occupational safety, or facility maintenance is preferred but not required. SKILLS: * Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and safe use of chemicals and equipment. * Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, manage time, and work independently or as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments. * Ability to operate custodial and maintenance equipment. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience or combination of education and experience, is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. PHYSICAL FACTORS: * Position is based in Enid, OK * Work is performed primarily indoors in classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
