MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Coordinator works under the direction of the Quality Manager, Cancer Services and executes assignments that support the cancer service line growth, quality improvement, accreditation and programmatic goals. Primary responsibilities include:

The Cancer Program is required by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer, to conduct site specific cancer conferences with a goal to ensure patient-centered cancer care. Cancer conferences improve the care of patients with cancer by providing multidisciplinary treatment planning opportunities and contributing to physician and allied medical staff education. Continuous quality improvement is critical to accessible, high quality, and safe patient care.
Support for Bennett Cancer Center software optimization projects, testing and ongoing education (not provided by the IT department) ensures proficiency, efficiency and supports users in unique cancer center workflows to ensure care is coordinated and ordered correctly for complex or time-sensitive patient care and accurate data capture to support value-based care and quality metrics.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Cancer Program Accreditation
* Each year, consults with CoC standard owners to plan, implement and report progress an annual goal-driven plan for Commission on Cancer accreditation.
* Provides programmatic support for CoC standard owners: educates on standard requirements, assesses for gaps in compliance and makes recommendations for improvement and compliance.
* Accountable for monitoring policy and procedures to ensure the committee reviews, updates or creates new policies as required by the accreditation program and within the appropriate time frame. Manages uploading and approvals of policies in the software system.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree required; bachelors preferred.
* 3+ years experience in a health care setting. Cancer center experience is a plus.

The Medical Staff Services (MSS) department serves as a liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration and assists the medical staff in fulfilling their responsibilities as required by local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies. MSS serves as a resource for all members of the medical staff and hospital administration. Personnel in the Medical Staff Services department perform major functions related to the credentialing, privileging, peer review and communication with the Medical Staff and Ancillary Staff.
Working closely with the Director of Medical Staff Services, the Manager of the Medical Staff Office will supervise designated medical staff functions and processes of the Medical Staff Office. This individual will additionally support policy development, privileges development, bylaws and rules/regulations interpretation, Joint Commission standards, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.
This individual will work to contribute to the strategic goals of the organization, the Planetree mission and goals of the department, specifically as it relates to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies standards.
* Develops Policies and Procedures in conjunction with the Medical Staff Bylaws and Joint Commission (TJC) regulations.
* Supervises the credentialing staff (3.0 FTEs) of the Medical Staff Office. Manages and Oversees the Medical Staff initial and reappointment processes, working closely with the Senior Credentialer, to ensure that all individuals with clinical privileges provide services within the scope of their training, licensure, and individual privilege status.
* Organize and support the onboarding and orientation of new medical staff members.
* Ensure the MSO Database is maintained and updated in conjunction with the Senior Data Analyst, Senior Credentialer, and credentialing staff. Interfaces and coordinates with other departments as needed. Perform systems analysis as required.

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the central utility plant, plumbing, heating and HVAC division of the Facilities Management Department. Ensures efficient and compliant operations of the plant on a 24/7 basis. Reporting to the Manager of Plant Facilities, the Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the mechanics in leading the day-to-day operational functions of the department, schedule necessary systems repairs/replacements, and assist in the development, implementation and administration of preventive and corrective maintenance programs associated with the Physical Plant infrastructure. The Supervisor with direction from the Plant Manager, manages the planning of job schedules and coordinates with outside contractors, and assists with the resolution of issues. Solid knowledge and trouble-shooting skills with 1) Building Automation Systems. 2) Air/Water Balancing and 3) steam systems. Strong computer skills can work under minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks. Previous experience in a hospital or Facilities/Engineering maintenance background is a plus.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee the operation of all plant equipment, including boilers, generators, HVAC, and auxiliary systems.

* Lead and supervise a team of plant operators, technicians, and support staff.

* Assign tasks, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure staff adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

* Enforce plant safety protocols and environmental regulations; conduct regular safety audits, and ensure all equipment is safe and operational.

* Perform quality control checks on preventative maintenance completed by plant operations staff.
*
* The Supervisor shall be familiar with the central plant and campus systems managed and ensures compliance with all Stamford Hospital policies and procedures.

* Work with plant manager, operators and key stakeholders to plan scheduled outages for maintenance and repair.

* Responsible for maintaining the inventory of all equipment/tools/supplies and spare parts as it relates to the plant.

* Assigns work order tickets via CMMS for work order tracking and compliance.

* Work with team to manage shift schedules ensuring that adequate coverage is in place.

* Work under direction of plant manager on plant optimization efforts to reduce utilities and consumption.

* Supervise all compliance testing including air quality, pressure relationships and water treatment.

* Perform Urine and other body fluid aliquoting and specimen management function.
* Perform routine temperature checks and management of refrigerator and freezers.
* Help Medical technologist during downtime.

* Check and stock core lab workbenches with enough supplies to perform the job.
* Help with document filling and document management.
