As the Community Engagement Intern, you will get some of the best experience in professional sports. You will work directly with our Business Development Manager , Ticket and Group Sales Manager, and the entire team to learn who the Missoula PaddleHeads are in the community. With a clear vision toward a bright future, we will work together to maximize the fan experience, create a deeper sense of community value, and stand as the centerpiece for everything baseball for our good neighbors in Missoula. We are looking for an intern with a hunger to learn about professional sports who wants to grow both personally and professionally while learning the business of baseball . The ideal candidate would be someone who wants to learn about creating community through the lease of a professional sport team. This person should be a self-starter with effective communication and organizational skills and an execution mindset. This is a paid ‘For-credit' internship. We are looking for a commitment of around 150 hours of office work over the spring academic term. The internship runs from January 24th to around May 2nd. Office hours can be broken up and decided by the student and Intern manager. Schedule and manage mascot appearances within our community. 2026 Spring Projects: Hit the Books Program Maximize the Missoula PaddleHeads Hit the Books Reading Program by encouraging local students to read more and increase ballpark attendance through donated game tickets for student hours read. This program incentivizes kids to read by awarding prizes and PaddleHeads game tickets for time spent reading. This project includes communicating with teachers/coordinators, organizing reading hours, and delivering prizes. A successful project will result in: 1600+ students participate in Hit the Books Total of 20,000 hours read 30 participating schools FUNdraising with the PaddleHeads Program FUNdraising with the Missoula PaddleHeads is the primary fundraising initiative for our nonprofit partners in the greater Missoula community. Working with this position, nonprofits and community partners will sell tickets to Tuesday games through a unique ticketing link. 100% of the ticket revenue generated by each organization will go directly back to the organization.
