Qualifications
Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:
Interprets drawings, sketches, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems

Position Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Use appropriate hand (i.e. drill, screwdriver) and power tools (i.e. pipe threader, conduit bender) to properly measure, cut, assemble and install electrical conduits; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations in accordance with required color codes and other specifications; pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment; install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels; install grounding leads; splice wire by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twist or solder wire together and apply tape or terminal caps; work with high and low voltage systems; test and start up systems; test continuity of circuits to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope; and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested. Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries. Understand that no job is so important that your safety and that of your crew will be compromised. Watch for hazards and report any concerns to your supervisor or safety professional. Inspect helper's work for compliance with the contract plans, specifications, and industry standards. Point out deficiencies, explain them, and take corrective action needed.
Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Notify supervision of any hazards observed and utilize safety stop work authority as needed.
Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed reporting any issues to your supervision.

The Journeyman should be a outside linemen, inside wiremen, installer technician, electrician, or Master Electrician who has been engaged at the trade for at least five (5) years.
The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level electrical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lighting PMs
Battery PMs
Rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning
Security gate repair
Inverter testing on battery backups for lights
Team scheduling and material requisition
Receptacle panel installations and retrofits
MTS board validations, actuation, and installation
Electrical Panel Schedules
Spill Prevention kits for Generators, Substations, etc.
Heat trace annual testing and installation/retrofits
Electrical project support
Willpower issues (Nonscheduled, high priority work); Usually DC floor related issues related to cooling
Qualifications
EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
At least five (5) years of experience in the trade
Unlimited Electrical or Contractor's license (required)
Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade
