We are a remodeling contractor specializing in Kitchens, Bathrooms, Additions and Whole House Remodeling.

We approach all our projects big or small with the same care as if we are working on our own homes.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REMODELING CARPENTER

Our Carpenters will complete 4-5 projects a month , gain satisfaction through working on a variety of upscale homes, and from seeing a beautiful finished product every month . Our carpenters work mostly in Contra Costa and have the opportunity to produce high-quality results . If you like getting out of the daily routine , this is the job for you!

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience as a remodeling carpenter (not Commercial work)
• Experience in Framing, Plumbing, Electrical and Finish Carpentry. (Tile installation is a plus)
• Have a valid California Driver's License and own transportation to/from jobs
• Possess a great attitude, have pride in your workmanship, be willing to learn
• Be safety-minded in all that you do
• Possess excellent customer service skills and respect the customers property
• Be able to lead a job or work as part of a team with a crew

The Construction Core team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. C-core is responsible for providing the field management personnel starting with the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. C-Core also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. C-Core provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you'll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.

Joining Construction Core will enable you to build the buildings on which people depend; collaborating with your team to overcome obstacles and fix problems on the jobsite using your skills. Strong networks are formed on construction projects because everyone on the team depends on each and every team member to get the job done.

In this role, you will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter's hand tools and power tools while conforming to local building codes. You will read and interpret construction documents to find information related to the project. Other duties may include installing concrete reinforcement, connection embeds, use of multiple form systems, trim work, door, and hardware installation.
Job Responsibilities:

* Follow established safety rules
* Providing leadership to carpenter helpers, apprentices, and laborers
* Erect Scaffolding
* Maintains or modifies woodwork and other related structures
* Occasionally work around hazardous material and equipment
* Construct forms
* Install anchor bolts, reinforcing steel, & embeds
* Frame floors, walls, & roof structures
* Demolition of concrete and wood structures

Education/Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
* Can follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

Journeyman Carpenter

Perform your time-honored craft alongside other skilled trades people. From footers to roof and everything in between, you'll be instrumental to the self-perform team working with layout, assembly, and installation of a variety of buildings and structures. The Journeyman Carpenter's work ranges from rough framing to the installation of interior and exterior finish work, millwork, and various specialties.

Requirements:
