Scope of Work: The Journeyperson electrician performs installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry. Responsibilities:
Perform all electrical tasks with limited supervision.

Terminate cables, install, and troubleshoot control wiring from schematics.

Clean and maintain job site, tools, and vehicles.
Maintain compliance with all OSHA, company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
Immediately identify, correct, and/or report any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
Experience: Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program or six years (12,000 hours) of on-the-job work experience equivalent work experience.

Day to day:

Able to indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment
Install new electrical equipment
Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience

May work with engineers or engineering technicians
Perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance
Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy
Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and makes recommendation for improvement/repair
Carry personal tools, such as a waist tool belt, which weighs approximately 30 lbs.
Maintains good housekeeping, which may include sweeping work area with a broom, organizing tools and materials, and keeping surfaces clean
We require that you possess:
Technical ability: technical and mechanical skills necessary to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams, then install or service various electrical systems
Physical fitness and dexterity - many jobs require certain levels of fitness due to the nature of the environment in which the work is performed. That includes but not limited to climbing ladders, working in small and confined spaces, or carrying equipment and materials to and around the project site.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code
Detail oriented - have a keen eye for detail in following safety standards and project designs, as well as the execution of the project itself

The Extended Day Helper position is part-time and normal work hours are between 2:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
Setting up snacks and fruit for 50+ students
Putting together pencils, pens, markers, crayons, scissors, books and paper
Assembling First Aid Kits
Become familiar with Extended Day Student list to be aware of who is coming/going and making sure everyone is accounted for.
Helping Auxiliary staff get students to appropriate after-school programming
Checking students into Extended Day, get them set up with a snack, then help them get their homework out
Aiding and assisting students with homework, while keeping them quiet in order to keep a calm homework environment for everyone. After 30 minutes of homework time, getting students ready for recess, helping students pack up their bags, clean off their table and throw away trash, and quietly line them up for recess
Responsible for overseeing recess - keeping kids safe within the boundaries of the playground, supervising sports and games (and playing with them!) Indoor recess - set up ping pong, board games, legos, jenga, and play with students
Bonding with students, playing games like soccer, basketball, tag, swings, 4 square (playing any games that will encourage you to get to know them and become their friends while staying safe)
Proper use of walkie talkie as form of communication, to assist with getting students picked up in an efficient manner
Breaking all equipment down and cleaning up all supplies to include arts and crafts, games, pencils, tables and juice pitchers
Responsible for checking in and taking students to appropriate PG bus
Monitoring students behavior and report to Auxiliary staff
Managing the cafeteria inside, checking the Remind app for pickup, signing out students, greeting parents, and calling their students inside for pickup on the walkie talkie

Requirements:
In general, the work of the plumber requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Backflow certification preferred.
Has responsibility of being available on twenty-four (24) hour call to facilitate emergency repairs to equipment that is critical to operations.

Who You Are: As an Apprentice with the UECo Production team, you will take the first step on your journey through our Employee Advancement Program! You will work with Senior and Master Craftsman to learn the trade and processes required for producing luxury metal lighting fixtures. You will train in a primary skill in either Production Prep, Craft Assembly, Finishing or the Final Assembly area. You enjoy working with your hands, seeing a job completed to high standards and on time, work well in a team environment, adapt well to change, and you are punctual. A Day in the Life:
Production Prep Tasks
Work with skilled Craftsmen to learn the trade and processes required for performing meaningful preparatory work in the fabricating of metal lighting fixtures.
Inspect incoming work for quality and completeness and create required documentation (INCs) in the event of a non-conformance.
Perform preparatory steps related to Craft as well as fabricate components and sub-assemblies of standard and custom lighting fixtures as defined by supporting documentation at each station.
Conduct preliminary preparation of metal surfaces for downstream customer
Perform preparatory steps related to finishing, wiring, and packing of lights as defined by supporting documentation at each station.
Facilitate flow of material from process to process.
Craftsman Assembly Tasks
Solder and assemble copper and brass lighting fixtures to exacting standards
Build metal fixtures according to print set specifications (square, symmetry, scale, etc.)
Utilize various tools (scale, clamps, jigs, drill press, lathe, drill, band saw, etc.)
Conduct preliminary preparation of metal surfaces for downstream customer
Craftsman Finishing Tasks
Utilize sanders, dremels, scratchpads, buffers, sandblasters, etc.) to prepare metal surfaces for appropriate finish
Disassemble and Reassemble lighting fixture components
Use dip tanks and appropriate process to achieve Oxidation, Polish or Distressed finish
Apply standard and custom paint, lacquer and other coatings to lighting fixtures
Ensure proper finish is applied to lighting fixture components per work orders
Craftsman Final Assembly Tasks
Cut and fit various types of glass to bench crafted lighting fixtures
Physically wire and test lighting fixtures in accordance with product specifications and codes
Pack and/or crate completed fixtures for world-wide shipment
Knowledge of trade-specific tools relating to electrical, glass or wiring

Role Summary
The Industrial Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial settings. They interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to ensure safe and efficient power distribution. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other trades to support facility operations. Precision, safety awareness, and expertise in industrial controls and low-to-mid voltage systems are essential for success. This role will initially be based in the Saint George, SC area, but will grow and may require occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
Installs wiring, conduit and control panels per blueprints and Foreman direction.
Set up and troubleshoot motor controls, transformers, and switchgear.
Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Integrate sensors, relays, and actuators into automated systems.
Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety standards.
Conduct lockout/tagout procedures during equipment servicing.
Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Inspect electrical installations for code compliance and operational integrity.
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant industrial electrical work in construction or project management.
NC Apprentice Electrician certification required (NCCER)
NC Electrician license preferred.
PLC/automation experience a +
Valid Driver's License (required).
Bilingual - Spanish (preferred).
OSHA 1910.147/NEC 2023 knowledge
