Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties are semi-routine involving an intensive practical knowledge of duties related to electric power lines. Most duties are performed within the limits of standard practice but there are occasions where a variety of procedures could be used and judgment must be considered to determine what action should be taken. A supervisor may not always be present, thus requiring independent action by the Lineman. Supervision is provided by the Line Superintendent to ensure that all job requirements are accomplished. When working on a crew, general guidance and direction are received from the Working Foreman.
