Ability to provide lead employee services in the accomplishment of electrical tasks and the instruction of less skilled co-workers
Performs skilled electrical installation, maintenance and repair work
Performs the installation of electrical wiring systems to switches, outlets, appliances and transformers in accordance with appropriate electrical safety codes. Uses tools such as wire pullers, wire strippers, pipe vise, conduit tools, drills, wrenches and knockout punches
Repairs appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, disposals by troubleshooting circuits for defects. Uses test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, test lights and megas
Performs internal and external connections of complicated electrical equipment such as motor controllers, switchboxes, transformers, and generators on multiphase circuits. Refers to circuit diagrams, blueprints, schematics
