The Journeyman Electrical Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a facility or campus environment. This role ensures electrical infrastructure remains safe, reliable, and compliant with applicable codes while supporting daily operations, preventive maintenance, and facility improvement projects. This is a safety sensitive position. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, motors, controls, panels, and circuits. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing instruments and schematics. Repair or replace defective wiring, fixtures, breakers, transformers, outlets, and switches. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential failures or safety hazards. Maintain electrical equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
