For Journeyman:Job Summary/Description: As directed by the Foreman or Leadman, the Journeyman is responsible for performing installations and helping direct Apprentices and Laborers on daily construction activity. He/she performs necessary electrical work in accordance with plans and specifications. Journeyman performs all tasks with some supervision but is able to stay on task and be productivity at all times. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and or/repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industry. He/she is able to terminate cable and conductors, install and trouble shoot motor control wiring drawings and demonstrate experience, which exceeds apprentice level. The Journeyman will also maintain a level of safety on the project that ensures adherence and compliance to the JBI Health and Safety Manual as well as all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
