Maintains personnel protection system for fire, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrocarbon alarm systems. Engineers, designs, and lays out electrical/electronic control circuits. Performs electrical construction work. Verifies proper operation with collection/plant system processes. Troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of electrical/electronic equipment including PLC, VFD, MCC, telemetry, and SCADA systems. Performs calibration and verification on various process instrumentation, metering, and recording devices (pressure, level, flow, weight, etc.). Checks and maintains emergency service equipment. Coordinates inventory needs and stocking issues with procurement and warehouse staff. Completes job reports on labor and material. Works with maintenance management systems (WAM), process control systems (Cimplicity/Wonderware), and other computer system software programs. Maintains monitoring systems at lift stations, meter sites, river quality monitoring, regulator, and rain gauge sites. Diagnoses and repairs integration devices between field devices and process computers. Provides welding to support the electrical group.
