Responsibilities
As a Journeyman Lineman you will install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment. Requirements
2+ years experience as a Journeymen Lineman.
A high school diploma, GED or proof of equivalent.
Journeyman Lineman experience which includes completion of a formal training program for a Journeyman Lineman.
Must meet examining board review of skills and experience and will be required to pass testing through Rocky Mountain Power.
Candidate must have hot stick training and experience.
Must have a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Work Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Scope of Work:
Currently we are constructing a greenfield central facility compressor station located in Texas. This site will house 10 compressors to include all supporting infrastructure. One of the primary challenges during this project is the excessive heat expected during the summer months, particularly from June through August. Heat mitigation strategies, such as adjusted work schedules, and regular hydration breaks, will be prioritized to ensure the health and safety of all personnel.

Licensing Information and Requirements:
* Must be enrolled in state approved apprenticeship program or have ability to enroll upon hire
* 3rd Year Apprentice
* Cumulative Hours: 6,000 hours
* Focus: Gaining proficiency in troubleshooting, working more independently under supervision, and tackling specialized electrical work such as motor controls and panel installations
* 4th Year Apprentice
* Cumulative Hours: 8,000 hours (additional 2,000 hours)
* Focus: Preparing for the journeyman exam, taking on lead roles in projects (under supervision), and mastering advanced electrical systems and code compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
* Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code
* Assists Journeyman with installation tasks
* Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
* Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma, or Equivalent
* One (1) year electrical experience; industrial industry preferred
* Current and valid driver's license, with clean driving record required depending on location
* Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire

* Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
* Basic knowledge and experience use of power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment.

* Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
