The Electrician will operate, inspect, and maintain facilities, utilities, and automated systems at both the Andover and Tewksbury locations. This position will ensure that equipment is being maintained in an efficient and safe manner to reduce downtime and maintain uptime. In addition, this role will perform inspections and repairs to assigned property for interior and exterior areas. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and complex troubleshooting for building maintenance trades such as: Electrical, HVAC, and related mechanics Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection, and maintenance, necessary to building interior and exterior Support projects and establishes and maintains close liaison with outside vendors to facilitate quality, cost-effective delivery of services Maintain, operate, repair and/or vendor manage HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, and laboratory/utilities equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings Conduct periodic inspections/audits of departmental facilities, laboratories, and utilities. Address issues and notify management as applicable Prepare and paint walls and woodwork. May include patching walls as necessary Perform custodial duties as required and maintain good housekeeping and safety in work areas Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements, and update work order status in real time through CMMS systems Submit P-card receipts and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner Ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
