Electric Journeyman Lineman: * Safely and efficiently provides electrical line service to the City's utility clients. * Assembles & disassembles hardware for overhead & underground installations in an energized environment without requiring direct supervision from the Crew Leader. * Operates heavy machinery involved with digging, setting and tamping poles, pulling overhead and underground conductors, digging and backfilling trenches or other excavations and hurt-man rescue by operating platform controls of aerial bucket. * Performs daily line construction activities for both overhead and underground installations from aerial bucket and by pole. Including the assembly of transformers, switches, pad-mounted facilities, metering, street lighting, capacitors and circuit switching & protection installations. * Participates as a mentor for Apprentices in the Apprentice Lineman Training Program. * Cut and clear brush at ground level and along aerial lines. * Troubleshoots during power outages, and participates in Safety meetings, and external and internal training sessions. * Uses various electrician hand tools, i.e. snips, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, etc. * Available to perform other line work at required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Incumbents may enter as an apprentice to perform job tasks under direct supervision and training. Must be willing to participate in a lineman program that will guide you from an apprentice level all the way through to a Journeyman level in approximately four (4) to five (5) years of work-study and on-the-job training to reach step levels up to the Journeyman status. In addition to the above Apprentice Electric Lineman, groundman advancing to the next level must also learn and demonstrate the ability to climb poles; perform hurt-man rescue by pole and bucket; proper use of personal protective gear; knowledge of equipment grounding; basic math calculations and be able to demonstrate to mentor and program administrator. Applicants would need to be willing to relocate to Corpus Christi, TX to be considered. In this role, you will work to promptly address a diverse range of trouble calls and collaborate closely with the Operations Team to resolve issues and maintain production timelines. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, programming, and automation systems. Responsibilities Conduct emergent electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and modifying programming/automation to ensure uninterrupted production line operation. Respond promptly to trouble calls and perform preventative maintenance tasks to uphold production efficiency. Collaborate effectively with Operations to address and resolve electrical and automation issues. Utilize software applications to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Qualifications Troubleshooting skills of Motor Controller Cabinets, and Pressure, Flow and Temperature Instrumentation, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Outstanding safety and attendance record. Strong background in utilizing test equipment such as Multimeters (Flukes), O'scopes, and Profibus Addresser. Military Experience, Civilian Certifications or Technical Degree in automation/control circuits, coupled with extensive experience in power distribution. Proficiency in TIA Portal/Step 7/LogiCAD/XPact preferred. Exceptional communication skills. Prior experience with overhead bridge cranes is advantageous. Schedule: 58 Hour Work Weeks: 6 Days; M-F (5x10s + Sat 8 hrs) Pay Rate: $40+ Hrly DOE Location: Taylor, TX Position Type: Full-Time Benefits: This position is eligible for WGNSTAR's full benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate electrical installation crews on-site. * Assign daily tasks and monitor crew performance. * Ensure safe work practices and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards. * Support installation of electrical systems for semiconductor tools, including power distribution, controls, and grounding. * Verify work quality and adherence to drawings, specifications, and client standards. * Communicate progress and issues to the General Foreman or Superintendent. * Maintain accurate records of crew hours, materials, and equipment usage. * Assist with site inspections, safety audits, and commissioning activities. * Resolve minor field-level issues and escalate larger concerns when necessary. Requirements: * Active Journeyman's Electrical License or above * 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. * Knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and safety protocols. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * OSHA 30 certification required. * Familiarity with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus. Preferred Experience: * Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments. * Prior work on Semiconductor construction projects or similar tool install clients. * Understanding of cleanroom protocols and commissioning procedures. Physical Effort/Activities: May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
