Experience reading schematics, prints and single lines, trouble shooting and solving problems. Complete terminations on all phases of control wiring and able to prepare wiring layouts for machinery.
This position can pay up to $90,000 annually PLUS overtime. It also includes 100% paid healthcare, retirement plan, vacation and paid holidays. Company Vehicle's are also available.
This position has NO overnight travel associated with it.
Must be able to pass a drug screening as we are a drug free workplace!

Job Summary
The ACAA's Electrician installs, repairs, maintains and modifies all lighting and power circuits, fixtures, controls, motors, pumps and equipment that is operated from all voltage levels.
Here is how the Electrician will help:
Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
Connect power cables to electrical equipment, lighting equipment motors, and install grounding leads.
Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, amp meter, and megger.
Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Re-lamp & repair of runway lighting fixtures and repair or replacement of wiring circuits.
Bucket truck work re-lamping and repairing pole lighting.
Work safely and abide by all ACAA safety guidelines.
Develop or participate in the job safety analysis procedures.
Trouble shoot and splice high voltage repairs and/or installations.
Adhere to ACAA guidelines set forth by the Dress Code and Personal Protective Equipment policy.
Employee is required to provide small hand tools necessary for the trade.
Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
Qualifications

Requirements to apply for role of Electrician are:

Five years' experience as a journeyman electrician.

Experience with instrumentation and control wiring, including sensors, relays, PLCs, and VFDs.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency in conduit bending, wire routing, and cable management.
Experience with custom and one-off panel builds is a plus.
Familiarity with NEC codes and industry safety standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Role and Responsibilities
Journeymen Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Under supervision of Foremen and Project Managers, they also ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Other duties may include:
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job; Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
Be knowledgeable on tool usage, some examples include: cable reels, screwdrivers, stripping tools, voltage or current meters, wire or cable cutters, etc.
Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

Work Environment
This job operates in a field environment. Electricians may be involved in construction or maintenance usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required. Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another, varying from indoors in clean conditions to outdoors on scaffolding, and to confined and restricted locations. May require working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions; exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
