POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts.
Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and implement effective solutions.
Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.
Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment, including wiring, lighting and control systems in various settings.
Install data cabling.
Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits.
Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Install and maintain fiber optic systems.
Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical generation sources and related equipment
Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations; adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to detect hazards, defects, or failures.
Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or technical school is preferred.
Valid electrician license as required by state regulations.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Inspect cell tower sites for compliance with plans and specifications, point out deficiencies, coach and take corrective action as needed.

Overview

Basic analytical skills necessary to organize workload to establish priorities. Ability to read materials (including blueprints and drawings) to interpret and analyze content. Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking skilled Electricians. Journeyman electricians install electrical systems in the construction industry at job sites and are knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions. Prior electrical installation background is required.
Pay
Based on experience. Qualified Journeyman Electricians starting at $30.00+/hour.
Hours
40 or more per week

Travel allowance provided, if required
Lodging
Provided if Required
Req. Experience
Journeyman's License preffered but not required. Competition of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) required.

Duties & Tasks
Installation of Electrical systems
Direct and train apprentice to Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears.
Ability to interpret prints and able to generate RFI's for projects
OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)
Quality Control electrical installation
Ensuring jobsite safety
Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
