Electrician Department: Arena Operations Reports to: Chief Electrician The Electrician is responsible for, but not limited to, the day to day maintenance and support of Nassau Coliseum and event requests, including 120-480 volt power distribution, shop repairs, motor control, lighting systems, and energy conservation. JOB SUMMARY This position performs and coordinates the installation and service of electrical products and services in a residential and light commercial setting * Advanced Training * Tool Accounts * Paid Uniforms * Company Vehicle * Full Time Position * Weekends Required * On call Required JOB DUTIES * Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial electrical equipment and services * Determines general condition of all electrical equipment, can troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs * Works with and understands blueprints, electrical schematics and job specifications as it applies to your craft * Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects * Use the Straightforward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections * Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system. * Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. * Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment. * Wear floor savers while working in client homes. * Inspection of area for cleanliness after job completion. * Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out. * Always maintain a professional image MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years of residential electrician experience * High school diploma or equivalent * Background check and drug screening * Clean driving record * Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions

Mechanical Aptitude Experience with the following systems Electrical wiring, conduit layout Electronics. Ability to read & understand schematics. Motor/bearing replacement Ability to read & understand schematics. Pneumatic Welding (Preferred) Understanding of PLC logic a plus. Responsibilities In this position you will: Perform preventive maintenance Install new equipment Troubleshoot and repair production equipment. Perform machine modifications/upgrades.
