Brooksource is partnering with an electrical equipment supplier to find a Lead Electrician who is ready to take charge, build something from the ground up, and lead the establishment of this newer service. As the Lead Electrician, you'll play a pivotal role within the company. Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for critical power systems, including UPS systems, transfer switches, and generators.
Troubleshoot complex electrical issues to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Assist with the growth of our client's Power's expansion, setting strategic direction and service offerings from your expert lens.
Manage commercial electrical projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, engineers, and key stakeholders.
Ensure all work meets NEC, local building codes, and industry safety standards, including permit acquisition and site inspections.
Develop processes and best practices for estimating, procurement, and project execution.
In the future - Hire, train, and lead a team of electricians and apprentices, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Represent our client's Power as a technical expert, supporting sales and engineering teams with insights and consultations.
Qualifications
Active Master Electrician or Journeyman License in Florida (or ability to obtain).
10+ years of experience in commercial electrical work, with strong expertise in critical power systems.
Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing large-scale electrical projects.
Strong knowledge of the NEC, local building codes, and electrical safety regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in the field.
Experience working with UPS systems, generators, transfer switches, and other mission-critical power infrastructure.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Experience obtaining permits, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems within the Palm Beach County Convention Center, with a primary focus on ensuring all light bulbs are operational.
Inspect and replace faulty or burnt-out light bulbs throughout the facility.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Respond to urgent electrical issues in a timely manner.
Assist with setting up temporary electrical connections for events when required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Qualifications
Valid Electrician's License or Certification in the state of Florida.
Previous experience working as an electrician, preferably in commercial or large facility settings.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Flexibility in scheduling (able to work one day per week with varying hours).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICIANS / LABORERS JOB SUMMARY
Works with Field personnel to ensure proper cable pulling, and installations of electrical equipment in roadway, under bridges, and construction zones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
Troubleshoots and repairs primary distribution system malfunctions such as ground fault tracing and cable replacement.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Reads electrical panel schedules and schematic plan sets.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Working outdoors on and around roadways, under bridges, and in active construction zones.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
CDL Class A License
A minimum of 3 year(s) similar construction and electrical experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Experience with electronics/computers/networking.
Basic computer skills (CAD, MS PROJECT, EXCEL, WORD, etc).
Experience with state Department of Transportation Experience is a plus.
