Overview: The Journeyman I will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to steel erection, fabrication, and installation, including structural steel assembly, welding, and rigging. Safety Compliance: - Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, and promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among crew members. - Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions, and report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately. 5. Quality Assurance: - Perform visual inspections of work performed, checking for proper fit, alignment, and weld quality, and make adjustments or repairs as needed to meet quality standards. - Assist with quality control inspections and testing, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. 6. Team Collaboration: - Work collaboratively with other crew members, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely completion of construction tasks. - Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and project managers to provide updates on work progress, issues, and concerns. Qualifications Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent work experience. - Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training in ironworking. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in structural steel erection and welding. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites. - Proficiency in reading construction plans, blueprints, and welding symbols. - Strong technical skills in steel fabrication, welding, and rigging. - Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to steel erection and construction. - Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
