The Glazier / Installer position is the primary product fulfillment position in the company. Glaziers / Installers are charged with delivering the customer experience in the home as part of the final fulfillment (installation) process.
Thoroughly inspect job materials, ensuring the product(s) are the correct size & style, and that there is no obvious product damage or flaws on product(s) required to complete job(s)
Load required job materials to installation vehicle(s), including redundant materials, tools, job folder/paperwork, safety equipment etc...
Communicate to office AND customer if we'll be late for scheduled installation appointment
Upon arrival at customers home, validate the work to be completed, the product(s) to be installed, installation location(s), and the estimated time it will take to complete the job, and customer expectations, and manage those expectations accordingly.
Install all products and services included in the work order, troubleshoot, and strive to resolve any installation problems that might occur on-site
If it's not possible to safely perform a quality service or installation on the date promised, effectively note all issues, and required materials necessary to complete the installation to the customers satisfaction at a later date.
Communicate with relevant team members regarding incomplete work, ensuring that any new materials are ordered, the cause of the go-back can be discerned, and that customer expectations can be managed accordingly.
Take care of the customer's home/business, ensuring we leave it cleaner than when we found it... use booties, etc...
Close out the installation by walking customer through the care and maintenance of products, walk them through warrantee (if applicable) and how to contact us if they ever need service or have additional questions
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
1 years residential glass installation experience
HS Diploma or equivalent
All candidates must pass initial background check and drug test. Valid license to drive, and a clean DMV record
Candidates must be physically capable of performing work, in good health, with the ability to lift up to 50-100lbs. unassisted
Preferred Skills:

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Window Installer / Measure Technician to join our growing team. This dual-role position is critical to ensuring a seamless experience for our customers-from accurate measurements post-sale to expert installation of windows and doors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform post-sale re-measurements of window and door openings to ensure precise product ordering
Accurately document measurements and installation requirements
Install replacement windows and doors in residential homes with a high level of craftsmanship and efficiency
Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards
Communicate with the project management and customer service teams to coordinate and confirm installation details
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, both on-site and in company vehicles
Travel to job sites within a 2-hour radius of Albany, NY
Customer Service
Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
Address any questions or concerns with professionalism and confidence

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience installing windows and doors (residential)
Must have a Valid Clean Driver's License as per company policy
Strong knowledge of installation techniques and tools

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliable transportation to report to the Albany office.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions

AMERI-CANS is seeking a full-time Plumber Technician to support large-scale water and waste system installations for construction site trailers and jobsite infrastructure. This is a highly skilled, field-based role responsible for designing, installing, auditing, and troubleshooting complex temporary plumbing systems while serving as a subject matter expert for Operations and Maintenance teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, safety, compliance, and consistent installation quality across all AMERI-CANS markets.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Install and set up temporary water and waste systems for construction site trailers, including tanks, pump houses, supply lines, and waste lines.
Ensure proper system layout, slope, alignment, insulation, heat trace, and secure connections for reliable, year-round operation.
Conduct job site evaluations to determine optimal system placement based on terrain, access, grade, and trailer layout.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair water and waste systems, including leaks, pressure issues, blockages, and pump failures.
Audit existing installations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with AMERI-CANS standards and applicable regulations.
Serve as the plumbing subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
Maintain safety standards, OSHA compliance, and proper documentation for all installations and inspections.
Communicate clearly with site supervisors, general contractors, and internal teams regarding system status and recommendations.
Requirements:
Licensing & Certifications
State-issued Journeyman or Master Plumber License (or ability to obtain based on state requirements).
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (required or ability to obtain).
Backflow Prevention Certification.

Field experience working on uneven terrain, remote job sites, or active construction environments.
Experience with insulation, heat trace installation, and freeze protection methods.
Strong troubleshooting experience with leaks, pressure issues, blockages, and pump failures.
Technical Skills
Ability to read site plans, grade levels, layout diagrams, and manufacturer installation documentation.
Ability to calculate proper fall/slope for gravity waste lines (⅛"-¼" per foot depending on diameter).
Understanding of pump curves, flow rates, and pressure requirements.
Knowledge of PVC, ABS, PEX, flexible hose systems, and industrial fittings used in temporary setups.
Ability to safely use trenching tools, leveling equipment, and compact equipment (skid steer or mini-excavator a plus).
Soft Skills / Behavioral Competencies
Strong communicator with site supervisors, general contractors, and internal teams.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to train, mentor, and oversee plumbing quality for other employees.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
Customer-focused and professional on all job sites.
Adaptable in fast-paced and unpredictable construction environments.
Preferred but Not Required:
Experience working with portable sanitation, mobile systems, or jobsite trailers.
Experience installing temporary water/waste systems, pump houses, or tank-based systems.
CDL or ability to tow large trailers.
Ability to operate small equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, or telehandlers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
