The Lead Electrician will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, managing a team of electricians, and ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Scope:
The Final Inspection Apprentice will receive basic knowledge and skills training to establish a solid foundation for working in the Quality department.

* Read and interpret traveler requirements / blueprints.
* Review traveler and blueprint for any special instructions prior to releasing to next quality process.
* Ensure all print requirements pertaining to basics of board are compliant.
* Confirm markings on board(s) along with color of solder-mask and legend.
* Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment.
* Review traveler for any special instructions or requirements.
* Handle boards from the edges IAW company policy and procedures.
* Effective use of inspection aids includes standard halo lamp and microscope.
* Stamp all compliant boards.
* Perform basic rework operations such as solder-mask touch-up, remove burrs/rough spots, rework damaged areas, cover exposed copper areas with solder-mask, clean and/or polish surface mount pads that can be done inside the final inspection department.

Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance as needed.
Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers. Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
Act as “our customer's best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer's first choice for service.
Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.
Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program.
Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.
What You'll Need
Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Requirements:
Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in electronic security industry
Previous construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background
Preferred Experience (but not required):
Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician)
Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
Experience with Axis / Bosch / DMP / Lenel / Software House
Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI); industry-specific certifications and/or

* Using precautionary procedures, necessary tools, and safety equipment to work on or near energized lines or equipment.
* Operating test equipment such as amp, volt or ohm meters, phasing and cable test sets, fault finders, and cable locators.
* Operating construction vehicles (up to 1,200 lbs.) in addition to vehicle auxiliaries and other powered equipment.
* You will be working with others, collaborating, instructing, and directing apprentices and helpers.
