About this Role
This job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT medical card.

Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high voltage transmission and substation electrical industry.
This is a non-exempt hourly role.
Position requires 100% travel anywhere throughout the MidWest
What You'll Do
Perform duties necessary to complete assigned task under the direct supervision of project foreman and project
manager. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean
work area at all times. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. Clearly understand and comply with Brink Constructors and Federal Job Safety Requirements. (O.S.H.A.) Must be able
to report to assigned job site location on time as directed. Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
Proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. Accurately organize materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work area.

What is it?

Position - Toolmaker
Location - this apprenticeship will be situated in our Delano, MN location, and will include external training partners within the Twin Cities Metro area.
Eligibility - qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year of manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of the Toolmaking process.
Timeframe - the program is designed to include four years' worth of instruction. This time can be adjusted if a participant has applicable experience and can “test out” of certain components within the program. There is a 500-hour probationary period.
Completion - upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and, when applicable, a Journeyworker card from the Department of Labor and Industry, Apprenticeship Unit.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
Proficient in Electrical Safe Work Practices, AC/DC Electrical Theory, and NEC codes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Capability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
Experience with VFDs installation and basic troubleshooting.
Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Additional Information:
Must supply personal tools; specialty tools will be provided.
Training available for forklift and overhead crane operations.
