Job Duties
Interpret schematics to build/wire/test complex UL Listed control panels including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety circuits, ethernet, etc
Perform power-on and i/o checkout of completed panels
Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to install power feeders, control panels, and field-wired devices and instrumentation
Assist Controls Engineers with system power-on and commissioning
Preferred Experience
Single and three phase power wiring up to 480v
Control circuit installation and troubleshooting
Power feeder installation using RMC (rigid galvanized, stainless, and pvc-coated), NEMA 1 and NEMA 4x stainless wireway, and ladder cable tray.
Field wiring controls and instrumentation including- motors, control valves, flow meters, analog pressure/temperature sensors, conductivity sensors, chlorine analyzers, chart recorders, etc.
Industrial communication protocols - 4-20mA analog loops, Ethernet/IP (copper and fiber), AS-Interface, IO-Link, legacy DeviceNet and DH+ networks.
Troubleshooting a wide variety of new and legacy industrial automation equipment. PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety circuits, instruments, communication networks, etc.
Required Skills
Read and interpret P&IDs, Electrical Schematics, and Technical Documentation.
Accurately bend and install rigid conduit using hand benders, Chicago benders, power benders (Greenlee 555), and power threaders.
Install and terminate power feeders up to 750kcmil.
Install and terminate device field wiring using schematics and product documentation
Familiarity with NEC and UL508a standards
Use multimeters, megohmmeters, loop calibrators, laptop software, etc to troubleshoot/verify/calibrate electrical circuits and devices.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to work closely with customers and other team members in a group environment.

Job Title: Overhead Lineman Class B
Full Time Position
Tampa, Florida
We are seeking a skilled Overhead Lineman Class B to join our team. As a Lineman Class B, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical power systems. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure that you are working in a safe environment and that our customers receive reliable and efficient electrical service.
Responsibilities:
Perform all types of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work.
Operate line switches, locate and repair faults, re-fuse line and transformer cutouts, change line and transformer taps, and phase out parallel circuits.
Must be thoroughly familiar with electric distribution layouts, feeds and circuits, operations of sectionalizing equipment, regulators
Make Energized cutovers from old poles and equipment to new or temporary installations of a similar nature.
Direct the work of others assigned to work with him/her, and train employees of lower grade.
A thorough understanding of line construction, engineering standards, safe work practices and procedures, system mapping, and operation is required.
Strings overhead wire
Sets poles and anchors
Comply with safety rules, operational regulations and practices and report unsafe conditions.
Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care of themselves and others
Maintain company vehicle, equipment and tools in good working order
Do all other related work as required to complete job
Requirements:

CDL license

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Sets and removes poles, installs and removes cross-arms and pins, place and remove electrical conductors, places and removes transformers and any other maintenance duties on energized lines/or de-energized lines.

Performs services and meter installations.
Communicates with the general public and property owners.
Observes all safety rules while working on electrical equipment.

Position Overview:
Pay: $51.35
Shift: 5:15pm-5:30am on a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, and 2 days. Every other weekend off!
Shift Differential Pay: .60 for night shift

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
At least 8 years of related industrial electrical experience with the following: (PM)/calibrate/install of facility electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation equipment throughout the entire facility, including med-low voltage systems; AC and DC systems; lighting; motors; receptacles; overhead door equipment; scales and hoists; starters; drives; power supply wiring (including conduit); transformers; programmable controllers; electrical components as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Passing of industrial electrical written AND practical tests
Passing of all pre-employment testing which includes:
Criminal background check
Employment and academic verifications
Drug screen & physical
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation Systems preferred, but not required
Proficient English (reading and writing) and math (adding, subtracting, multiplication) skills

Responsibilities:
Uses hand tools and testers to maintain and repair motors, starters, drives, low-med voltage systems and instrumentation throughout the entire plant
Follows National Electrical Code (NEC) and company standards in a safe and expedient manner. Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals. Perform and follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO), Hot Work, Hazardous Work, Confined Space, Line Breaking, Daily PM Inspection, and Work Order Feedback processes
Replace, repair, troubleshoot, calibrate or clean electrical, instrumentation and automation systems
Troubleshooting visually and with varied testing equipment all EI systems throughout the facility. Changes hardware in system to maintain interface between automation and operations as needed
Responsible for regular work orders as well as emergencies throughout the facility. Responsible for housekeeping in all work areas
Performs maintenance on equipment that monitors flow, temperature, conductivity and pressure equipment
Communicates daily with Team Leader / Lead who prioritizes, and delegates work to the technicians. Communicate findings with management
Follows verbal or written instructions from supervision and management Utilizes and inputs data into the CMMS system as required
Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers
Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees
Physical Requirements:
Required to wear respiratory protection while in production areas.
Ability to climb and perform work at varying heights above ground.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, and hearing protection) in varying degrees of heat.
Ability to lift/carry up to 80 pounds with or without accommodation.

+ Reads blueprints and diagrams, determines materials needed, estimates time and material costs on installations, and requests supplies to assure timely and adequate availability.
+ Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power & hand tools and other necessary equipment.
+ Pends and installs EMT, rigid, plastic-bond and steatite conduit.
+ Troubleshoots all electrical systems.
+ Locates cables that range from low to high voltage throughout campus for various contractors.
+ Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, or diagnoses malfunctions of electrical systems.
+ Helps determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs or projects.
+ Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed.
+ Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes tests, and inspections.
+ Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications** :
+ 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
+ Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
+ Journeyman Electrical License.
+ Experience working with blueprints, specifications, or models to learn or plan work layouts, making routine computations as needed.
+ Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
+ Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt and/or areas requiring infection control. Requires meeting deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis. Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.
