About this Role
This job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT medical card.

Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high voltage transmission and substation electrical industry.
This is a non-exempt hourly role.
Position requires 100% travel anywhere throughout the MidWest
Pay: This is a non-exempt hourly role. The pay range is $50 -$55 / hour
What You'll Do
Perform duties necessary to complete assigned task under the direct supervision of project foreman and project
manager. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean
work area at all times. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. Clearly understand and comply with Brink Constructors and Federal Job Safety Requirements. (O.S.H.A.) Must be able
to report to assigned job site location on time as directed. Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
Proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. Accurately organize materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work area.

Position - Toolmaker
Location - this apprenticeship will be situated in our Delano, MN location, and will include external training partners within the Twin Cities Metro area.
Eligibility - qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year of manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of the Toolmaking process.
Timeframe - the program is designed to include four years' worth of instruction. This time can be adjusted if a participant has applicable experience and can “test out” of certain components within the program. There is a 500-hour probationary period.
Completion - upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and, when applicable, a Journeyworker card from the Department of Labor and Industry, Apprenticeship Unit.

Reporting Relationship: The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
· Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for building & grounds and wire mold
· Perform the installation of transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment
· Perform installations of backup generator systems
· Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems
· Read electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics.
· Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service
· Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions
· Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, and testing lamp
· Perform other duties and assignments as necessary

· Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment

This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $45-50/hour based on experience and skill level. Responsibilities
Power-Limited Technician License
3+ years of low-voltage/data cabling experience
Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience
Low-voltage hand tools, punch-down tools, cable tester, and ladders

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Our Experienced Journeyman Electrician works 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, occasionally staying later to finish up projects as needed. You dispatch from home and cover a service area within a 30-mile radius of Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
With a professional, "can-do" attitude, you visit our clients' homes to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install residential electrical systems. You comply with electric codes, quality standards, and client expectations to complete impressive work within a reasonable timeframe. Tackling everything from basic wiring and complex repairs to making safety recommendations and providing great customer service, you make a tangible impact on clients and our company!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Journeyman license
2+ years of electrical experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Basic FunctionDetermine and perform mechanical and electrical repair on all equipment. General plant maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds. Code, test, debug, and document results. Install new programs and change existing programs.Duties & Responsibilities
Interpret and use schematics, drawings, and instruction manuals dealing with electricity, electronics, and programmable logic controls, including CNC/NC machines.
Repair machinery in the manufacturing plant.
Write or revise appropriate documentation in accordance with current standards.
Keep systems up to code.
Install new circuits as needed.
Design and layout basic circuits.
Provide services to group for special assignments, working individually or within a team project.
Assist in making evaluations and recommendations.
Suggest improvements of issues within current processes.
Work with minimal supervision.
Possess excellent trouble-shooting skills to detect if problem is electrical or mechanical.
Travel to other facilities to assist in upgrades or repairs.
Capable of requisitioning materials to complete repairs.
Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
Lead special projects
Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies.
Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position.
Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.
Required Skills
5 years plus directly related experience.
Maintenance or Journeyman Electricians license for State of Minnesota
Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.
Able to work closely with fellow employees.
Basic troubleshooting techniques.
