Responsibilities
What You Will Do
Leadership and managerial skills in which the individual is able to run small jobs with a few crews looking to them for guidance
Must be able to receive any work within the normal scope of work we do and be able to complete in a timely fashion (aerial and underground)
Responsible for all crew paperwork and documentation; turn in all correct documentation associated with job upon completion of the task
Responsible for delegating work within the crew and take a leadership role by taking responsibility for the actions of himself and his crew
Ability to able to read maps (design), able to run assist wheel and figure 8 fiber
Can hook and climb poles successfully, assemble stock I.E. snow shoes
Can build strand, load a lasher, lash cable and fiber and be able to do all basic pole transfers
Stock truck with stock for the day's job assignment
Check oil and do VIR before every shift
Responsible for general organization of truck and cleanliness of truck both in and out
Accountable for the advancement and training of anyone on the levels below them
Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job site
Qualifications
What You Will Need
Experience working as a telecom lineman
Show up for work daily and on time
Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license
Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks
Regular contact with co-workers and customers
Within 90 days of start date, take and pass OSHA-10 Certification
Must be able to take and pass, and continue to pass a DOT Physical
Due to the nature of the role, local travel is required
Work Environment
Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously
Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise.

What you'll do as a Lineman I Telecom You will install and repair aerial telecommunications cable You will safely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more You will safely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators, and more You will direct traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelines You will safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders You will work in multiple locations You will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Valid driver's license Prior experience as a lineman placing aerial and underground telecommunication cable (fiber and coax) in OSP and ISP environments Ability to climb utility poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet Physical abilities & exposures This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
