Position is responsible for changes, set-up, and maintenance of machine and equipment parameters. The Paint Tech must follow and maintain safety practices to ensure that self and other team members are working in a safe environment to prevent injuries. Responsible for assuring that all machines and equipment are properly functioning. Interfaces with purchasing, shipping, receiving, molding, finishing, engineering, and quality assurance to assure products are produced in a timely and cost effective manner. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be physically capable of walking for the entire work shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Repeated bending and lifting during the shift. Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear. Ability to work from heights with proper PPE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Under administrative direction and general supervision for the following major tasks: Assists in supervising and managing shift and training of operators and utilities. Repair and rebuild paint guns and paint racks as needed Measures and complies with environmental health and safety system Monitors housekeeping and maintains good housekeeping Performs other duties as required or directed Ensures communcaiton of any changes to process is documented on OIS and training is complete. Functions as utility for the paint line. Complete Paint Tech Level 1 training within 7 days of starting the job. Complete Paint Tech Level 2 training within 90 days of starting the job. Complete Paint Tech Level 3 training within 180 days of starting the job. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE One year work-related experience, and successful completion of all related training courses or be willing to enroll in next available class. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 16 on the Cognitive portion). TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position typically does not require any travel.
