We are working with an established Food Manufacturing company based in Arlington, WA. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) on the 1st shift in return for a salary in the region of between $35-$55/hour along with excellent employment benefits which include , Healthcare, PTO and Life Insurance.
Duties and Responsibilities as a Maintenance Electrician include:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and control systems.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure proper installation and functionality of electrical systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, identifying and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment to ensure their longevity and reliability.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician License
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices, including OSHA standards.

Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

This role includes working with cathodic protection systems, power generators (gas and diesel), transformers, and airfield lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain medium voltage (1kV-35kV) systems and, where applicable, 69kV Navy systems.
Inspect, repair, and test a wide range of electrical components including underground cable systems, switches (oil, SF6, air), transformers, ground grid systems, and fuses.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using specialized tools: multimeters, meggers, ammeters, cable locators, fault finders, high-potential test equipment, etc.

Operate heating torch to fabricate plastic components. Selects materials, cuts and lays out, and fabricates various plastic shapes and forms.
Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.

Our directorates related to Mission Support & Operations include Office of General Counsel, Business Services, Communications and External Engagement, Operational Systems, Communications and Information Technology, and Performance Management.
The Operational Systems Directorate (OSD) leads delivery of PNNL's 10-year, $1.2 billion campus construction portfolio- the single largest construction and modernization effort in the Laboratory's history. OSD oversees operations and facility services, maintenance, and infrastructure planning.
A team of nearly 800 staff comprise OSD, spanning in a wide range of disciplines, including craftspeople, engineers, construction professionals, technicians, scientists, administrators, and specialists. Together, they ensure that PNNL's assets, services, and OSD-led programs are managed and performing safely, securely, reliably, effectively, and efficiently.
The directorate stewards more than $250 million in annual budget authority; managing more than 2.5 million square feet of facility space across two campuses; overseeing approximately 200 regulatory program areas; and executing a multi-million-dollar facility and infrastructure project portfolio.
The Facilities & Infrastructure Operations (F&IO) Division is responsible for operating and maintaining PNNL's buildings, grounds, and utilities. The F&IO team includes plant engineering, fabrication, craft services, duplicating and mail services, facility program support, relocations, and receiving. F&IO is home to approximately 363 staff including more than 250 bargaining unit (union) staff.

**Responsibilities**
Perform all types of electrical work, such as layout of construction wiring, installation, and maintenance and repair of complicated electrical equipment, including switchgear, generating, substation, distribution, control equipment, processor-based equipment, computer hardware, etc. Take electrical clearances and perform switching operations on high voltage electrical circuits. Perform wiring and expert trouble shooting on complicated equipment utilizing a wide variety of testing devices requiring expert skill and knowledge to use and interpret. Repair and maintain portable radiation survey instruments, meters, potentiometers, bridges, etc. Fabrication and assembly of tubes, thermocouples, and/or rewind motors and generators. Install, calibrate and maintain highly complex instruments, control systems and related equipment used in the Laboratory to generate, accumulate, and record scientific data from experimental operations and processes. Assemble instrument components into complex workable systems as designed to accomplish stated results. Work from sketches, prints, or oral instructions. May direct the work of others and perform any related work and any assigned work of lesser skill.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school graduate or equivalent required.
+ Current Washington State Journeyman Electrician License in good standing (This must be reflected in the resume submitted). Preference will be given to 01 license, but other levels will be considered.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience at the journeyman level.
+ Must have a valid state-issued driver's license.
+ Ability to qualify as a full journeyman with the appropriate union affiliated with HAMTC.
