An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, assuring the work is being installed in a high-quality manner and performing quality inspections. Monitors task completion, compliance and prevents safety issues.
Responsibilities
Productivity Planning for assigned scope of work
Material Phasing - Organize Material by specific areas/floors. (keep track of materials inventories).
Tools & Equipment - Identify all tools and equipment required to support each crew (Gang box Assignments, tool inspection and keep track of tools by signing sheet in-out).
Information Packages - Each crew activity must have information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc...).
Keep control of breaks (loss time of personal breaks smoking time, conversation time).
Daily hour/unit reports for their crews - Submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to Foreman on established from (Standard Time Sheet).
Quality control inspections of work completed - Must follow established QC plan & check lists.
Responsible for installing the work in a professional manner and high-quality standard.
Maintaining accurate as built drawings - As-built drawings are to be updated and logged onto master record contract drawings a minimum of once a week.
Inventory of all tools & equipment at the day's end for assigned tools & equipment. (Everything must be accountable & secure) inventory/inspection sheets to be turned in every Monday.
Lost/Stolen/Damage tool report.
AHA's - All AHA's related to Foreman's scope of work must be reviewed, signed by each crew member and stored at their gang box in the field.
Support Equipment Inspection - Foreman must submit daily equipment inspection sheets for all equipment assigned to Foreman once a week.
Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation - Must follow the established procedures for responding and reporting accident and incidents. All reports must be submitted within 24 hours of accident/incident.
Clean Up - Foreman and Crew leader are responsible for all clean up related to their scope of work. All work areas are to be left in a broom swept condition at the end of the day.
Quality of work completed must follow:
Ensure installation meets/exceeds codes, contractual obligations, best practices and other requirements as mandated by the Corporate Quality Policy.
Ensure all facets of Project Quality Plan are reviewed and implemented. Any deviations are properly documented and communicated to site Q.C. representative for approval prior to proceeding any further.
Participate and assist the Site Q.C. representative in the implementation of 3-Phase Quality Control, which includes Preparatory, Initial & Follow-up for each Definable Feature of Work (DFOW) under the crew leader's responsibility.
Properly document and return the CQC checklists to Site Q.C. representative ensuring installation inspections are done timely and facilitate the adherence to QAQC schedule.
Initiate Various Discrepancy Notices (EDN, DDN, PDN, FDN, ADN, PITDN, CDN) in order to ensure issues arising during construction are properly documented and communicated for resolution.
Review and provide feedback on weekly installation quality scorecards as generated by QAQC service center to ensure systemic issues are addressed through formal root cause, corrective and preventive action.
Review ongoing quality issues identified in the daily Q.C. report with the crew to ensure mitigation/elimination of the nonconformities.
Ensure nonconformity tags identified on discrepant installation by site Q.C. representative is timely resolved.
Participate in QAQC Design Review of Engineering & Coordination drawings to identify constructability issues.
Participate and provide feedback on Quality portion of the daily ORM work briefing.

Qualifications
6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a High School diploma or GED
4+ years of experience with an Associate degree
Abilities
The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.

Job Summary
Responsible to the Line Superintendent for the performance of labor necessary for the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties are semi-routine involving an intensive practical knowledge of duties related to electric power lines. Most duties are performed within the limits of standard practice but there are occasions where a variety of procedures could be used and judgment must be considered to determine what action should be taken. A supervisor may not always be present, thus requiring independent action by the Lineman. Supervision is provided by the Line Superintendent to ensure that all job requirements are accomplished. When working on a crew, general guidance and direction are received from the Working Foreman. When engaged in service work, the employee plans and arranges own work receiving only general direction from the Working Foreman and or the Line Superintendent. Contacts with others are considerable as a Lineman's responsibilities call for contact with consumers and members. These contacts can influence the members' opinion of the Cooperative.
Connects and installs all standard types of single-phase and three-phase self-contained metering and service drops.
Reads kilowatt hour and demand type meters.
Completes Lineman portion of various types of service orders.
Disconnects meter or service on delinquent accounts in accordance with Cooperative's rules and regulations.
Collects money from consumers.
Understands and uses Cooperative location numbers and maps.
Determines causes of problems and restores electric service to normal.
Installs, removes, and repairs street and yard lights.
Locates underground electric cable.
Reports potential or existing problems or hazards on the Cooperative's electric system to supervisor.
Uses two-way radio in accordance with CORE's procedure.
Patrols transmission and distribution lines.
Trims and removes trees.
Inspects and notes abnormal conditions of oil-filled equipment.
Installs various types of recording meters on distribution and secondary lines.
Uses proper procedures and account numbers when filling out daily time sheets and material use tickets.
Uses safe working habits and follows Cooperative's safety rules at all times.
Maintains in good condition all personal tools and equipment as well as assigned Cooperative equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Frames poles, installs guys, strings, and ties in conductor.
Works on energized conductors -
Rubber gloves 12.5 kV from a bucket truck. o
Hot sticks up to and including 115 kV from poles.
Installs, removes, and makes minor repairs and adjustments on oil-filled switchgear, regulators, capacitors, and transformers.
Constructs various types of three-phase transformer banks.
Understands the proper use and completion of small purchase orders.
Responds to call-out at all hours, including holidays and weekends in order to restore or maintain electric service to consumers.
Employee must reside no more than 40 road miles from their respective district office.
Performs other duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completed a four-year accredited apprenticeship training program as a Lineman or in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution lines; or experience as a working journeyman.
A valid unrestricted class A Colorado Commercial Driver's License and a DOT medical certificate are required and must be maintained. This position is subject to DOT controlled substances and alcohol testing regulations.
Knowledge and Skills
This job requires careful and strict mental and visual attention, especially when working with high voltage lines. Basic aptitudes in numerical ability, numerical reasoning and spatial awareness are also required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The duties and tasks require the ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift a maximum of 100 pounds.
Walking or hiking for long distances through snowy, muddy, slippery, steep, and rocky terrain carrying tools and equipment.
Driving or operating all types of equipment for extended periods of time in all types of conditions, including very hot, cold, wet, and windy weather.
Sitting or kneeling for extended periods of time while operating a snowmobile or splicing URD cable.
Driving a truck or snowmobile over rough terrain encountering jarring and bouncing conditions.

Stretching and twisting the body to tie in wire on crossarms, install hardware and operate hoists and other tools while standing on hooks.
Working with tools and small parts such as bolts, nuts, washers, and pins while wearing rubber gloves.
Using a fully extended with weight on the end when changing fuses and operating switches.
Climbing and balancing on ladders.
Rolling poles on a framing gin with a cant hook.
Changing small and large truck tires unassisted.
Bending and stooping to load and unload OCRs, transformers and other equipment and hardware.
Working conditions are primarily outside, including possible isolated work areas, call-out at all hours and exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Employee may be exposed to toxic materials, including PCB.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
