Position Description
Assist electrical workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric-power generation and distribution equipment, underground cables, and related facilities, performing any combination of various tasks.
Job Responsibilities
* Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
* Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site, according to instructions.
* Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using ruler and hand tools.
* Drill holes for wiring, using power drill, and pull or push wiring through opening.
* Trace out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
* Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
* Perform minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches, using hand tools.
* Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
* Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
* Dig trenches, place shoring, and lowers tools and materials to workers in excavations and vaults.
* Position reels of electric cable alongside trench or manhole, and guide cable as it is pulled into ducts to prevent damage to lead sheath.
* Break up concrete to facilitate installation or repair of equipment, using an air hammer.
* Rig scaffolds and hoists, and help move heavy machine parts to assist in assembly and repair of generators, converters, switchgear, and related equipment at generating station or substation, as directed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have electrical experience.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively, operate moving equipment and work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.
* Candidate may be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check based on job location/requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tool & Die Journeyman will plan, layout, and perform all bench and machine operations to build, service, repair, and maintain the tools, dies and fixtures throughout the facility while maintaining Lozier's quality and safety standards. Forklift operation may also be required. The Journeyman also provides instruction to apprentices and trainees. Appropriate personal protective equipment must also be worn for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Rebuild dies and fixtures.

Education: A degree in tool and die technology is preferred.

Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

If applicable should have all necessary licenses or certifications for the jurisdiction in which the work is to be performed. In addition, must have all necessary tools (see Electrician tool list). All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
