What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. An employee who is a Journeyman and who performs all classes of overhead and underground transmission and distribution line work and the construction, erection and maintenance of substations when assigned to a crew under the direction of a Working Foreman or Supervisor of higher grade, and who is qualified by training and knowledge of underground circuits, substations, and apparatus to test, maintain, and install duct line, cable, conduits, risers, Company owned customer outdoor lighting equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, and associated equipment, substation equipment and circuits. Must be qualified to perform switching.
Will make connections to underground circuits and substation feeder installations as well as making underground connections on customer services.

Background of apprenticeship training and experience must be such as to qualify him to perform these duties with skill and efficiency. May be assigned to work with and under general direction of a Troubleman and when so assigned, the type of work he performs and the method of supervision shall be governed by the rules with respect to the Troubleman classification. A Lineman may be assigned temporarily to work apart from a crew either alone or as a member of a two man unit without supervision, doing work which shall include:
1. Framing poles.
2. Preassembling material.
3. Patrolling and inspecting pole and tower lines.
4. Testing and inspecting poles.
5. Repairing risers and ground mouldings.
6. Pulling slack in anchor guys.
7. Replacing guy guards.
8. Splicing and terminating non leaded and leaded underground cables.
9. Install and splice fiber optic cable and communications.
A Lineman may be assigned temporarily to work apart from a crew as a member of a two man unit, without supervision, when the second man in such unit is a one year Apprentice Lineman or higher, doing work which shall include:

1. Taking primary distribution voltage readings.
2. Installing Company owned customer outdoor lighting service equipment and street fixtures, including making connections on circuits with voltage below 750 volts.
3. Installing all types of customer's services, complete with setting self contained meters.
Using special design lift equipment, or an aerial bucket, a Lineman may work apart from a crew as a two man unit, without supervision, when the second man in such unit is a one year Apprentice Lineman or higher, doing work which shall include:
1. Setting and replacing service poles.
2. Setting street light poles and outdoor lighting service poles not to exceed 40 feet in length.
3. Washing insulators on lines energized up to 60 KV.
When it is necessary to climb through live circuits of 750 volts or more, the other employee in the two man unit shall be a JourneymanLineman. Is required to drive the line truck and operate the fixed and attached equipment. May be required to keep time cards and material records.

What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.
How you will do it
Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements. Lays out electrical controls installation to provide lowest total installed cost.
Mounts and terminates control equipment as needed.
May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
Determines and validates final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system (i.e. chillers, boilers, rooftop units, etc.).
Checks out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed (i.e. volt meters, hand-held testers, etc.).
Keeps management informed of job needs, progress, and issues.
Completes paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to JCI Engineering on changes and keeps as-built drawings current.
Resolve job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalate concerns to management as required.
Communicate with the customer as necessary upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Full Time, hourly Master Electrician to join our team at Tuscany Suites and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The Lead Electrician oversees and performs skilled electrical work, which involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. In addition, they provide guidance and direction to other electricians and apprentices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all national electrical codes are followed for the State of Nevada.
Ensure that once a year electrical panels have preventive maintenance done on them. To include cleaning, checking for hotspots, maintaining the panel schedule and testing shunt switches, kitchen hood fire suppression systems and elevator shunt switches with the Clark County Fire Department or Building Department.
Ensure all emergency lighting is tested and in working order per the national fire prevention code and local building codes.
Ensure that interior and exterior light are checked for outages or repairs. For the following: building, light poles, signs, landscape ground lights, stairwells, offices, hotel room, all public areas and equipment.
Ensure that we are constantly working towards being energy efficient.
Ensure that we follow OSHA requirements for safety is followed when working by one's self or around other employees and our guest using our public areas.
Ensure that inspections, drawings and documentations for the annual facilities permit from the building department are maintained.
Ensure we are always using the proper safety equipment when working with, in or around electrical and the use of tools.
Ensure that good stocks of electrical parts are on hand for projects or any necessary repairs get done in a timely manner.
Ensure the emergency generator is run once a month for 15 minutes to determine it is in proper working order. Preventative maintenance should be done if any at this time.
Ensure a journeyman or master electricians card is maintained.
Ensure that after work is completed clean up the area.
Ensure to maintain MSDS sheets for any liquids, chemicals or powder that might be used in the electrical department.
Ensure that minimal loss of efficiency is analyze for the repairs or projects that parts or tools needed are taken all at the same time to do the job. Than tools are returned to its rightful place.
Ensure that the Tuscany Hotel and Casino employee handbook is followed in its entirety.
Ensure that at times you will be required to step outside this job description and do other job duties assigned by management.
Ensure that a purchase order is written for every part or supply needed after the approval of Director of Facilities.
Ensure that the daily or weekly check list is followed in its entirety.
Perform other duties assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Good communication skills, ability to perform in a fast paced environment. Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably from a hotel. Able to work any shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels.
