Primary Responsibilities:
Works safely on construction, maintenance or repair work on energized and de-energized overhead work.
Set poles, anchors, install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, cross-arms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
Operate digger truck and bucket truck of various sizes and models
Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems
Medium to high voltage experience (480,4160 and above)
Cable of installing and removing proper cover-up
Grounding
Operate overhead buckets on electric distribution systems to set transformers plus pulling primary and secondary conductors

MAIN ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT

Estimates time and material costs for assigned projects. Dismantles equipment to gain access to and repairs defective parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing devices. May fabricate devices and assemblies from steel. May weld, thread pipe and solder using gas and electric equipment. Re-assembles and tests equipment ensuring safe and efficient operating condition is restored.
Inspects and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using testing devices and diagnoses basic operational problems. Takes corrective action and obtains necessary repair parts per procedure in assigned area.
Prepares work orders either manually or from a CMMS system as required and prepares work related reports, procurement requisitions, charts, graphs and data submittal requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs electrically-related activities specified by work order and installs new or replacement electrical systems, equipment and fixtures.
Reports and documents results of inspections and work performed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
