Summary/Objective:
The Electrical Helper/Apprentice will assist electricians by performing various duties to include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment, handles and installs electrical fire alarm wire, and learning from the Fire Alarm Service Technician.
Essential Functions:
Drills holes and pulls or pushes wiring through openings, using hand and power tools
Measures, cuts and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
Maintains tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
Transports tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site
Examines electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tightens connections, using hand tools
Performs semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment, and cleans work areas
Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Required:
1-year electrical experience in in a commercial/industrial environment; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
Must have required hand tools
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain machinery, meeting maintenance requirements for 480-volt, 3 phase systems, and minimizing downtime will be necessary
Support, troubleshoot, improve, and maintain high-speed production and packaging machinery
Utilize SAP to accurately and thoroughly detail and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points
Drive plant goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities
Responsible for programmable controllers and computer process controls
Ensure quality standards are met at all times
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required
3 year industrial electrical/programming experience or two-year technical degree preferred
Outstanding communication and team-orientation skills
Knowledge of Servos and related controllers including hydraulic and pneumatic, temperature controls
Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes

Job Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Horse Care & Management:
Provide daily feeding, watering, and turnout for a herd of 25 horses, following established nutrition and health plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and test high/low voltage shipboard electrical systems (power generation, lighting, motors, switchboards)
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using diagnostic tools
Perform terminations, splicing, and cable pulls
Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and operational tests
Ensure compliance with NAVSEA, OSHA, and company safety standards

Qualifications:
5+ years of marine electrical experience
Strong blueprint/schematic reading skills
Proficient with multimeters, meggers, and other diagnostic tools
