Responsibilities
As a Journeyman Lineman you will install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment. Maintenance of lines and services will require pole climbing, hot sticking, and working out of truck mounted bucket lifts to construct, repair or maintain line equipment or string, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits. Operates switches, cutouts and uses grounding devices to work on de-energized lines and equipment. You may train and direct the work of a trainee/apprentice in the trade.
Rubber gloving training will be provided. Upon meeting the qualifications for Rubber Gloving, an increase to the Qualified Journeyman Lineman rate of pay will be given.
Requirements
A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
Experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Lineman certification. and/or testing through UWUA 127.
Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.
Candidate must have formal hot stick training and experience.
Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Upon selection, the successful applicant will be required to pass UWUA 127 testing in their third month of employment.
This position requires a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening, conducted by a licensed physical therapist, to assure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job. The screening will assess only the identified physical demands of the job being applied for.

As a mechanical contractor, we install heating and cooling (HVAC) systems, plumbing systems and medical gas systems. We further specialize in the healthcare industry. Our work involves assembling, installing, alter and/or repairing piping systems that carry water, steam, air or other liquids or gases along with the installation of HVAC equipment, plumbing fixtures and medical gas equipment. Position is a full time(40 hour per week), hourly position.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Work in a manner that promotes safety to himself/herself and others working in the same area.
2. Assist plumbers, HVAC mechanics and/or welders install piping, fixtures and equipment.
3. Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.
4. Measure, cut, thread and assemble new pipe, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or supports.
5. Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes and set sleeves or inserts to provide support for pipes.
6. Collect and carry materials and equipment to work site.
7. Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings or assemblies to tanks, pumps or systems, using hand tools.
8. Assist pipe fitters in the layout, assembly and installation of piping for air, gas, and water systems.
9. Excavate and grade ditches and lay and join pipe for water and sewer service.
10. Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe.
11. Use various hand and power tools to accomplish required tasks.
12. Continually strive to learn the intricacies of our trade.

This role troubleshoots and maintains the electrical equipment in Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings. The schedule is Monday thru Friday 0600-1400. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
+ Troubleshooting of all equipment on site.
+ Be available off hour for emergencies.
+ Performance of the preventive maintenance of all electrical equipment on site.
+ Institute the corrective action and/or inform his supervisor on any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job.
+ Attend meetings with Client and USG and be prepared to provide corrective solution to site issues.
+ Monitor Electrical Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.
+ Perform other task as directed by his Supervisor.
**Qualifications:**
+ Must possess and maintain a Journeyman License or higher
+ Seven (7) or more years experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building electrical equipment to include but not limited to:
Switchgear =/-13.2kv Motors Control Systems
Transformers Electrical Panels MCC's
VFD's
+ Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.
+ Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Electrical Switchgear.
+ Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Building Electrical Systems.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly
