In this position, you will utilize your electrical skills to perform high-level electrical and mechanical installation as well as maintenance of facilities, field and plant equipment. This role will be on-site at the Corteva location. What You'll Do: Assist with managing plant electrical systems. Regularly inspect and troubleshoot equipment as well as electrical, security and communications systems. Lead and foster the safety culture with team members, drive maintenance and reliability of the process control network. Develop and communicate changes and improvements made to equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on both electrical and mechanical equipment. Estimate labor and equipment costs, maintain appropriate maintenance inventory and repair logs. Maintain and work on various electrical equipment (12V to 480V). Interpret electric code application. Various other duties as assigned. Education: You have a High School Diploma/GED. What Skills You Need: You have an Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Journeymen License or licensing with a reciprocal state (Arkansas, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Washington or Wyoming). You have previous electrical experience with voltages ranging from 24v to 480v 3 phase. You are willing and able to perform the physical aspects of this job which include but are not necessarily limited to; climb/work in elevated areas; sit/stand for extended periods; work in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.); repetitive motion and are able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. You have a valid US driver's license so that you are able to drive company vehicles as needed. Journeyman Responsibilities * Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing conduit * Overseeing, or participating in, wire installations with conduit & cable tray * Connecting power to equipment * The ability to lead/develop up to 4 apprentice electricians * Knowledge of other construction trades * Ability to stand, walk ,and lift up to 100 lbs in construction work environment * Ability to climb, and maintain balance, on ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools * May be exposed to high and precarious places * Risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions * Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required * Other duties may be assigned Qualifications Education & Experience: We are looking for electricians with experience using, or the desire to learn, the latest BIM/VDC technologies for pre-planning and on-site coordination of all Interstates projects. * Must have state issued journeyman electrician license * Industrial electrical experience required. * Knowledge of BIM/VDC Technology preferred. Location/Travel: This position will require travel in/around Hermiston,OR - up to/within a 200-mile radius. Applicants must be permanently located in/around the office location or be willing to permanently relocate. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy. Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
