ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform work as directed by Shop Foreman and Service Manager.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on heavy truck chassis and fire components/ambulances.

Pick up and delivery of customer vehicles.
Performs road tests on vehicles to assure proper operating levels.
Processes and tracks repair orders.
Operates computer to document repair work and maintenance daily.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Reads and follows simple to entry level instructions, schematics and other information contained in repair manuals or the diagnosis and repair of fire and EMS vehicles and equipment.

Your Role on the Team Install, modify, test, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain medium and high voltage electrical systems and associated equipment to include; transformers, cables, switches, circuit breakers, mechanical and electronic recording instruments, mechanical and electronic control systems, and other circuit elements found in substations and/or power-generating facilities.
Install, modify, connect, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution lines.
Perform service on underground lines, substations, transformers, insulators, capacitor equipment, lightning arresters, switches, fuses, ground connects, and similar equipment.
Prepare estimates, and plan and manage own projects within allotted budgets.
Also plan the sequence of work and determine the nature of maintenance or repair needed.

Scope:
The Final Inspection Apprentice will receive basic knowledge and skills training to establish a solid foundation for working in the Quality department.
The career path will begin with learning to read drawings and specifications to gain a basic understanding of the PCB manufacturing industry and product. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret traveler requirements / blueprints.
* Review traveler and blueprint for any special instructions prior to releasing to next quality process.
* Ensure all print requirements pertaining to basics of board are compliant.
* Confirm markings on board(s) along with color of solder-mask and legend.
* Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment.
* Review traveler for any special instructions or requirements.
* Handle boards from the edges IAW company policy and procedures.
* Effective use of inspection aids includes standard halo lamp and microscope.
* Stamp all compliant boards.
* Perform basic rework operations such as solder-mask touch-up, remove burrs/rough spots, rework damaged areas, cover exposed copper areas with solder-mask, clean and/or polish surface mount pads that can be done inside the final inspection department.

What You'll Do

The Position
This position is responsible for the assembly, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical, electronic assemblies and systems. The ideal candidate for this role has a minimum of 2 years experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail, has excellent attendance and is committed to workplace safety.

Job Description
Support company maintenance requirements for machinery, facility, and safety initiatives.
Maintain proper preventative maintenance schedules and documentation for all shop equipment.
Support building system maintenance such as machine shop, compressors, tooling, and generators, lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
Upgrade, repair, replace machinery parts and components as needed to maintain equipment.
Oversee the machinery to make sure it is optimal working condition.
Support overall company electrical maintenance requirements for machinery and facility upkeep.
Maintain electrical support for equipment in the machine shop.
Assist mechanical assembly with troubleshooting of equipment breakdown and repair.
Maintain electrical support of the building, ensuring all safety codes are complied with.
Maintain the building wiring inspection.
Maintain all electrical safety records as required by OSHA.
Works alone on all types of maintenance repair, electrical repair, and installation.
Operates machine shop equipment making repair parts.
Uses electrical instruments to diagnose electrical problems.
Makes various repairs to shop equipment and does general and finish carpentry.
Works with gas welding and cutting torches; electric welding on a variety of work.
Maintains and repairs water, oil, steam, air, and gas lines; fire and water pumping system; fork truck maintenance; and all types of electrical work.
Maintains required housekeeping of work area and observes all safety rules.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Tools & materials used:
Uses sledgehammers, drills, crowbars, block and tackle, chain falls, drill presses, jack saws, wrenches, electrical tools, gas and electric cutting and welding equipment, plumbers and pipe-fitters equipment and other miscellaneous hand tools.
Works on a variety of machines and equipment in and around plant. Works with several lubricants and chemicals throughout the plant.

Job Overview - The Maintenance/Electrical Mechanic position is within our Prestone division. This role will report to our Prestone Plant in Torrance, California. This is an on-site position, based at our Torrance office, working Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and replace faulty machine components such as (but not limited to): motors, various pumps including fluid transfer pumps, drives, PLC controls, programming, commissioning/start-up control systems, gearboxes, tooling equipment, Blow Mold equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC and DC drives.
Read and understand electrical schematic diagrams as well as industrial three phase 240V and 480V power distribution and VFD wiring practices.
General Electrical work includes but is not limited to layouts, assembling, installing and testing electrical apparatus, measuring, cutting, threading and bending conduit, and installing, modifying and repairing panels, remote control equipment, electrical motors, power and lighting circuits.
Executes daily machine checks, lubrication, machine start-up, clean-up, changeovers and adjustments to maintain the greatest operational efficiency.
Install and setup of new machinery and production lines.
Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick and innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving.
Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for preventative maintenance tasks, work orders and logging reactive work orders.
