POSITION SUMMARY:

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
NCCER Certification/License (preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
Set a personal example of safe behavior.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.

HOURS:

What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements. Lays out electrical controls installation to provide lowest total installed cost.
Mounts and terminates control equipment as needed.

Determines and validates final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system (i.e. chillers, boilers, rooftop units, etc.).
Checks out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed (i.e. volt meters, hand-held testers, etc.).
Keeps management informed of job needs, progress, and issues.

Operate and maintain medium voltage (1kV-35kV) systems and, where applicable, 69kV Navy systems.
Inspect, repair, and test a wide range of electrical components including underground cable systems, switches (oil, SF6, air), transformers, ground grid systems, and fuses.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using specialized tools: multimeters, meggers, ammeters, cable locators, fault finders, high-potential test equipment, etc.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
Follow all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E standards, and PPE requirements. No live (hot) work is permitted without prior written authorization.
Respond to electrical service calls and emergencies, ensuring systems remain operational.
Maintain and repair airfield lighting systems, including runway and taxiway lights, beacons, current regulators, optical landing systems, and control systems.
Pull and install underground cables, splice and terminate cables using appropriate kits and sealing methods.
Inspect and maintain transformers and perform oil sampling for analysis.
Operate commercial vehicles (Class B CDL required), bucket trucks, and pole auger trucks.
Perform ground testing, vault inspections, manhole maintenance, and bonding repairs.

Your Mission:
Responsible for working with all electrical aspects of fuel dispensers, pumps and various other service station equipment (Gilbarco, Veeder-Root, Red Jacket and more) and retail Point of Sale (POS) systems (VeriFone, Passport).
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for fuel stations, car washes, tank farms, and petroleum-related facilities.
Perform wiring, conduit runs, panel installations, terminations, and equipment connections according to NEC and NFPA 70 standards.
Interpret and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and site layouts to complete installations efficiently and accurately.
Ensure proper functioning of control systems, sensors, dispensers, tank monitors (e.g., Veeder-Root), lighting, and motor controls.
Follow all hazardous location protocols (e.g., Class I Div 1/2) and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
Coordinate with project managers, technicians, inspectors, and other trades to meet project timelines and safety requirements.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of new and existing systems, identifying and correcting deficiencies.
Use a variety of tools and meters to complete electrical tasks safely and accurately.
Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE use, and job site protocols.
Accurately complete daily work logs, inspection checklists, and material usage reports.
What You Bring to the Table:
An electrical license must be a WA or reciprocal state license. If you hold a license in any of these states please consider applying: CO, MT, MN, ND, NE, NH, NM, OK,OR, SD, TX, UT, and WY.
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with commercial electrical systems. Class 1, Division 1 location experience preferred.
Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific), with strong knowledge of NEC, hazardous locations, and industrial installations.
Hands-on experience with electrical service for UST/AST systems, fuel dispensers, tank monitoring, POS systems, and control panels.
Skilled in conduit bending (EMT, RMC, PVC), wire pulling, panel work, and troubleshooting under live or load conditions.
Familiarity with Veeder-Root, Incon, Red Jacket, and similar petroleum control and monitoring systems.
Comfortable collaborating on multi-trade job sites, reading construction drawings, and adapting to evolving site conditions.
Strong track record of working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines, safety goals, and quality standards.
Knowledge of local permitting, inspection processes, and electrical testing procedures.
Recognized for being safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and reliable in both construction and service environments.
